My bet is on cloud gaming, even though the console producers (maybe even some game studios) will do their best to delay it, they will not allow their games on Cloud Gaming platforms to make the end user get a console or buy the game for his PC, but sooner or later I'd say that's the next big thing.
10 years from now, you'll buy a laptop that will allow you to run any game in 2k-4k max settings with ease and the need to change it will increase to many years as it will run everything easily many years.
