RE: Path Of Exile | A Slower But Fun Start

in Hive Gaming4 months ago

What an impressive run! The build is more relaxed but it still sounds impressive for what it's capable of. I like ARPGs too! It's a fun feeling beating mobs that troubled me the day before but after one upgrade I am able to demolish them. I never figured out how players are able to just blow past the 'story' to get to the end game content every season. Maybe I am just a slow ARPG player.

Thanks for your post! It was fun to read and gave me the itch to play some more ARPGs. I am currently playing the new season in Last Epoch but for some reason I don't feel a sense of 'urgency' to level up like I did when I played a Path of Exile season.

Most ARPGs including PoE the trick to leveling fast is staying below the zone level so you are getting bonus xp per kill. Not so low you are getting owned. It requires skipping over a lot of things and only attacking a large pack for xp or something that makes it worth the time it takes to kill something.

I find that kind of leveling not to be as fun when you first start out in a new league. When I make an alt I’m sure I’ll be skipping lots of kills. As I hate leveling alts.

Last Epoch is one of those I need to get around to playing at some point.
