I started craving a new video game experience and actually, it's something that's been on my mind for a while. So, I decided to buy a few games and tried to be as random as possible.
I mean, random is a bit of a stretch because I focused on prominent titles but yeah, I spread it around. I ended up getting a couple of games that I'd normally enjoy but fast forward to Saturday, I'm on my way to return two of them.
Funny that despite being a big fan of first person shooters, I'm simply not enjoying battlefield 2042. I guess that explains why I got it so cheap.
I've expended a long time playing warzone and I have to say, if it ain't like warzone, I'm not entirely sure I want it. So, I'm returning battlefield and swapping it over for something else.
Luckily for me, the store has a 48 hour return policy, so I'm right on time with that. I'm going to swap battlefield and modern warfare 3 for other games with a bit more action and less thinking, if you may.
Returning modern warfare 3 is not what I want but a necessity, as I just found out that my Activision account is location locked. So, when setting up my PlayStation account in Nigeria, I used a bogus address in the UK because it wouldn't let me proceed without it.
Since my Activision account is then linked to my PlayStation account, I can't play certain games bought in the UK. It's hard to describe my frustration but I'd summarize it with the word "fack".
Anyway, I swapped both of them for spiderman 2. I've played two earlier titles on PS4 but couldn't play this one because it was one of the earliest signs of the planned obsolescence coming for PS4.
The good thing about buying games at CEX is that after finishing the game, I can simply go and swap the game, get store credit and use that to buy other games. That's the only advantage disks have over digital copies.
Nice grabs, love the Spiderman 2 and hate the region restrictions on game even after you bought them.
