I am a Hive Content Creator aiming to build my brand and business in Chicopee, MA. This platform has allowed to showcase my talents as a Digital Media Creator and connect with awesome individuals online and in real life. My hope is to create a community of gamers who play games like I do to post on the platform and support each other every day.
Hive Gaming Selfie Contest Details
The Hive Gaming community has introduced a selfie contest where users share their selfies taken place in their fictional worlds. There are a few rules to this challenge which ask us to:
- Play some video games.
- Take pictures of your character while you are in cool places or doing cool things.
- Write a post in the Hive Gaming Community.
- The post needs to be more than just screenshots.
- Should talk about the game, what you are doing and what you like or dislike about the game.
- Use the tag #hivegcselfie in the post.
- Once the post is completed, share the post in the comment section of this post.

As a livestreamer both on Vimm.TV and Facebook I play a ton of Nintendo products and have a focus on Animal Crossing New Horizons and Pokemon Sword/Shield.
Animal Crossing with BoyCharliePlays!
Animal Crossing New Horizons starts you off on a small uncharted island ran by Tom Nook(a "generous" tycoon) and his two nephews. Along with three other critters we begin our journey of making the Charleeze Island" well decorated and full of life. After that initial hype from the beginning of the year I took a massive break from playing. Its been a long three months since I signed into the game before doing the live stream today. You will see down below that my residents weren't too happy about missing my presence for this long of a period.
It almost made me sad. It's not anything you did Marina. It's just I stopped playing. It sucks that I did because the neglect on my island was real. Every one of my residents had this to say to me and were so bummed out that I was gone. My thoughts are that I needed to make it up to them so I am going to do some terraforming and reorganize the island over the next few days. With paying off all of my loans on the island players like me now look forward to just relaxing, collecting, and saving my money for something more important. Like flipping turnips.
What do I like about this game?
The customizations options are my favorite part of this game. It's the closest I will be able to get to having a The Sims game on this product most likely. Everything down from my multi-room house to the decor on the island are up to my decisions. The characters on the island are even receptive to the clothing I give them so if I wanted to create a little muscled up gang like my friend Kyle here I can.
Pokemon Training with BoyCharliePlays!
Pokemon Training is my business and it is the reason that I love gaming so much. Pokemon Red was the first game I ever owned on a handheld and with this console version of the game we have been given the opportunity to be the best trainers around. With the Pokemon Sword: Isle of Armor Expansion pass players were given the opportunity to finally walk with their partner Pokemon in the first slot. This hasn't been seen since Pokemon Let's GO but not seen in full use since the Pokemon Heartgold or Soul Silver series of games.
What do you like about this game?
Training Pokemon
There are many creative ways to train Pokemon these days that trainers like myself can utilize. Frankly Pokedollars are the easiest to get than they have ever been. You can battle trainers all over the place still and also participate in Max Raid battles where Gigantic Pokemon drop rare treasures. These treasures can be sold at the stores or combined on the Isle of Armor for even greater items.
Battling Pokemon
Battling our captured pets has always been the reason I loved the game. Getting to combat with large turtles, big bears, ginormous dragons, and other mythical creatures with a tiny electric mouse is something out of my 7 year old selfs mind. I couldn't wait to experience the next game in the series to see what new creature they added and what new moves that Pokemon would be able to deliver. Currently there are over 900 in the series but only 5 or 600 are in the game currently. That has been one of the biggest criticisms of the new console games so far.
Breeding Pokemon
Did you know that to get a specific move onto a Pokemon you can breed it from other Pokemon. See the red octopus there? It can learn the move Water Spout from breeding with a GIGANTIC WHALE pokemon. Once the GIGANTIC WHALE and my RED OCTOPUS breed then I can pass on the move to my GIANT GUN TURTLE.
Here's the formula down below xD :
Wailord with Water Spout + Octillery = Octillery with Water Spout
Octillery with Water Spout + Blastoise = Blastoise with Water Spout
This kind of genetic make up experimentation is absolutely awesome and would be a great way to teach punnet squares in science classes.

Very good captures friend, I played Animal Crossing since it came out in the small Nintendo DS Lite, then I played the 3DS, now I only need the New Horizons
I never played the other games. It took my friend Brett to get me to purchase this copy when the pandemic started off.
And it was a very good recommendation, it is good to have good friends like them
