Hello everybody!
I've been prolonging this project that I have in mind since those first reviews I did for this community where I had no idea if I was going to write more than 2 or 3 reviews, now after almost +50 posts that I've been able to do it's time to move to the next level, contribute in a meaningful and prolonged way to the community that gave me the opportunity to experiment with my writings, and that is the purpose of this post! I'm inaugurating a new weekly section on my blog that will serve as a newsletter about what's going on in the gaming industry, what exciting new games there are to play and a compilation of all the quality content I find around here at @hivegc.
Introducing Hive Gaming Magazine!
A weekly publication with several segments that expose the current affairs of the gaming world as well as compiles some of the most outstanding gamers events of the Hive community, the idea of this project is that progressively more users join to write their own reviews of the most relevant events of the gamer world and build a weekly newsletter where the most prominent creators of the community come together, if you want to collaborate I urge you to participate in the comments below in the conversation or contact me via Discord!
Without further ado, here is the first of many installments!
Enjoy the 1st installment!

Metroid Dread gets the record for fastest selling Metroid game
Source: 3DJuegos
It has recently been released the new Nintendo and the Metroid saga with historic results for both the Spanish team of Mercury Stream and for Nintendo itself, and is that Metroid Dread has achieved a record debut in the UK from the hand of his long-awaited reception from fans as well as favorable reviews by critics, which has also managed to be the video game developed in Spain with the best score in several specialized websites that gave an average of 89 points from over 50 specialized critics, making it also one of the best rated games in the Metroid saga, if we want to find the last game with a rating as high we would have to go back a couple of years ago with the release on the Wii Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.
This success could also be influenced by the recent release of the new version of the Nintendo Switch, the OLED model made the sales of Nintendo games grow in recent weeks and with the release of a delivery so long awaited by fans it was normal to expect these results, Metroid is back and how! breaking all the schemes in a 2D adventure of undeniable quality in one of the good news of Switch this year.
FIFA 22 could be the last of the saga. EA considers a name change
Source: GameInformer
Another of the week's protagonists has been the annual installment of the FIFA saga that has led this week in sales around the globe with more than 9 million active players on the controls in its first two weeks. But to everyone's surprise that's not what stands out the most as it has shared a press release in which EA's board is thinking of giving a new image and name to its favorite sports franchise, reviewing its contract with FIFA and considering in "reviewing our naming rights agreement with FIFA, which is separate from all our official partnerships and licenses across the football world. "
I couldn't help but think that this is some strategy to catch up to the recent release of eFootball by Konami which although it has had a rocky start I already discussed how promising the future may be for this game in one of my posts.
Metal Gear Solid 3 appears to be on the verge of a AAA remake.
Source: IGN
Developer studio Virtuos, known for collaborating on various works such as Call Of Duty Black Ops 4, Uncharted 4 or Horizon: Zero Dawn has mentioned through its social networks that it is working on a AAA Remake title, sources close to the studio place it with Konami to develop a remastering of the classic stealth Metal Gear Solid 3, the saga does not see a new installment since the arrival of The Phantom Pain in 2015 as well as some Spin-Off based on the game, it is rumored that Konami is already making arrangements to announce this new title at the Game Awards in December, we will have to wait to see if we have another installment of everyone's favorite Snake.
Saints Row reboot releases new teaser
Source: GameInformer
Called simply Saints Row the new installment of the irreverent sandbox is becoming one of the most anticipated for 2022, with the city of Santo Ileso background that combines different districts, all with colorful background characters and a feeling of being in a living world is that this new Saints Row is presented being the first installment in over 5 years, the feeling that it is another GTA is still in force and will be curious to see what the developers do to make this installment stand out.
Activision's Lawsuit continues to get worse. now the Feds are involved.
Source: Kotaku
It appears Activision's multiple lawsuits over abuse of its staff are taking a bizarre turn as the company's legal team has accused the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) department of working with the State of California to move Activision's lawsuits forward and using its lawyers to fight the lawsuit, recall that Blizzard's multiple lawsuits had hit a hot spot when the giant developer proposed to pay $17 million to calm the waters and settle, a move that was widely criticized on social media coming from a company with a billion-dollar-a-year turnover.
Activision has assured that it is working to make "the guilty pay the consequences" but day by day it is getting into a hole with no obvious way out, this new chapter seems to aggravate the lack of action by the company in its many allegations of abuses in the work environment of the company.
Sora joins Super Smash Bros and ends his set of fighters
Source: Meristation
The end of an era comes this October 19 with the arrival of Sora to the Super Smash Bros fighters grid, from then on there will be no more content for the title and its creator Masahiro Sakurai can take a well-deserved vacation, and is that there have been more than 80 fighters the final amount of a title that has marked an era especially in competitive fighting games, Ultimate will not have more significant updates but is expected to continue implementing small winks here and there in reference to the new Nintendo games, I think you can not ask anything more to a title as gigantic as it was this installment of Super Smash, which is still more alive than ever in the competitive and eSports.
Koichi Sugiyama passed away, considered one of the most important composers of the video game.
Source: Meristation
The former Dragon Quest composer who in the 80s was the chief composer of most of the Dragon Quest titles has passed away at the age of 90, Sugiyama was a pioneer in composing music for video games using an 8-Bit input channel to compose 8 of the themes that made up Dragon Quest for the Famicom, and from then on he became the first composer of the Dragon Quest series, from then on he would become a regular of the saga and would obtain a worldwide recognition with the expansion of the Japanese videogames of the developer Enix around the world.
Game of the week!
Far Cry 6
IGN: "The new from Ubisoft has so many details, secrets to find and a story so good that it's impossible not to recommend it."
Far Cry 6 has proven to be a fresh installment for a saga that needed a reinterpretation and Giancarlo Esposito will be positioned in the coming days as one of the most interesting collaborations between video games and actors of series/movies of the moment, not only the fictional nation of Yara works as a dynamic scenario to carry out our madness but also hides a background about the struggle for power between a man and an army, Ubisoft in recent years has been questioned for the inspiration of their games and how they all work basically the same way but Far Cry 6 begins to break the mold slowly with its gameplay full of puzzles and go discovering things calmly and without shortcuts, of course this is a game of a super producer as Ubisoft and innovation will go in dribs and drabs most of the time but I think the story if that will give the leap in quality that many players have been waiting for.
Polemic
"Have you ever wondered why you don't see more developers interacting directly with players? There is a valid way to give feedback, and I don't think anyone on the team is against receiving it when it's done constructively. But the amount of personal attacks I've seen in a few hours is outrageous ".
These were the comments on Reddit from one of the developers of Battefield 2042 when referring to the toxicity in the gaming community as one of the most serious and common problems surrounding the entire gaming industry, also talking about how with the advent of social networks this problem has been increasing to the extremes of today.
"Day one of the beta and we're already talking about people losing their jobs," he commented about an offensive comment from a user. "Ever wonder why you don't see more developers interacting directly with players? There is a valid way to give feedback, and I don't think anyone on the team is against receiving it when it's done in a constructive way. But the amount of personal attacks I've seen in just a few hours is outrageous."

EXTRA: New Minecraft server for @hivegc!
Welcome!!! 63.135.164.127:25587
For those who don't know since a couple of days ago has been opening the new 24/7 dedicated Minecraft server commanded by @perceval and @therealflaws, I've already had time to test it all night long (and I've even been able to make a mobs farm all night long), the server is free for anyone who wants to enter and we've already had a few adventures on it, of course I recommend to stop by the Discord of the HiveGC to consult with the rules as well as the parameters to enter the server, but it's just another idea to spend more time socializing with the users of the Blockchain!!!
Cool! I loved this section, very complete and with interesting news, btw, give the rock stacks back to jean
I have missed some recent news that I considered important but between the format of the post and be careful that the news were not so outdated I ended up opting for a few, in the following editions I will put more focus on this now that I have decided the format of the post, the stone I owe it to Jean today I have to mine until dawn on the server but at least I made a fairly functional mobs farm :D
Awesome initiative! I'll be looking forward to these posts each week for sure. I don't really follow a lot of gaming news myself and just exist in my own little sphere so this will be insightful.
