A step forward for VR: Budget Cuts

How can I forget my always lagging virtual reality in my blog? I must admit that it has been quite difficult for me to find really entertaining experiences and worthy of a more in-depth analysis but with Budget Cuts I have been satisfied and even wanted to enjoy more of what it has to offer, it has that air of being a short and to the point video game like other titles I've played as Superhot, being a field of fun for me who already have some time experimenting with virtual reality and a useful start for those who do not have too much hope placed in the technology of virtual reality. The PSVR title is presented as a game that is quite a distance from the expectations that had this technology since it was introduced to the market, it is a video game that does not focus on a mechanic, but has a whole atmosphere that smells like it is a fairly complete game.

Budget Cuts deals with stealth in a way that I had never seen in a VR game, I can say that it more than fulfills being a title that even without much budget in between, improves many of the sensations of other similar titles in first person while proposing ideas that facilitate immersion in the controls of the helmet and PS Moves, its main asset, the teleportation that many times has been tested in this technology and many times I've come out dizzy after a quick session, is resolved quite well, it's an experience that takes us by the hand in most levels but does a great job to offer a stealth game that feels genuine and integrated with the technology of the glasses.

In the background there is a story that integrates concepts like Big Brother or the growing deficiency of bureaucracy, all in the eyes of a standard protagonist who is chosen to escape from buildings undetected, it is not the revolution that is expected to hit the Oculus and VR market but it is a game that comes much closer to hitting the formula for releasing video games for these technologies, a perfect balance between the playable and everything else, the content is at the right point and offers enough depth to explore its mechanics and even leave us wanting for more, the flaws will always be in the technology and how realistic we can make a VR headset when they have so much to render, that makes the game has to act accordingly and deploy a more modest graphics and finishes in most of its levels, the style of bureaucratic office where robots patrol is still there but if you miss some immersive graphics like those of Half-Life Alix.

The portals and teleportation are the fundamental tools in each of the levels, allowing us to plan and know where our enemies are to draw a strategy to evade or eliminate them, the game treats with great importance this mechanics and makes everything points to the portals are the star of the experience, also each level is full of tools and weapons with multiple uses that we can also include in our plans, making the experience a little more varied especially when we talk about the replayability of the title.

The level design is intelligently positioned making us see the best paths, making clear the mechanics and how the whole game environment works as well as giving a space for the player's creativity to emerge, and this is the best part, we have several methods to pass each of its chambers in the purest style of Portal in which there is a solution for each player and there are even some pretty bizarre options if we want to challenge ourselves in a level. I warn you that, although it is an experience designed to be understood instantly we will take quite a while to master each of the options it has, after trying each alternative yes the title does not have much more to offer, but Budget Cuts assumes the flag of being a brilliantly structured game in a medium that has not yet seen the boom that has been expected for years.

Tengo ganas de conseguir unas gafas vr YA!

Se consiguen bastante baratas si buscas los modelos viejos de Oculus, aunque creo que el salto tecnológico las dan las gafas mas actuales

Yay! 🤗
