I've got into Hive thanks to the popular Play2Earn game called Splinterlands, and I've been getting to know many other games on this blockchain. There is no better pleasure than playing a game for fun while earning from it! While I was browsing through my feeds page, I've come across OCD & Crypto-Shots Contest.
So let's get right into it!
Intro to Crypto shots
Crypto- Shots is a 3D first shooter browser game connected to the Hive blockchain in which your gaming assets like weapons, ammo, characters and shields are collectable NFTs.Players can also earn Crypto Shots token Dot Omega (DOOM) by taking down drones across different planets.
Crypto-shots website has a pretty cool interface, you get the feel of a modern alien 3D gaming when opening tha launch page.
It might seem underrated but having the option to play with No login required is huge for attracting new members outside Hive/Wax community and makes the game way more accessible to introduce to friends/family and share the fun!
Whenever you're a total amateur in shooting games or a total tryhard at competitive PvP shooting battles, Crypto-shots got it ready for you and let's you the freedom to adjust the level of difficulty to your preference!

Gameplay
When I first saw the game, it got me reminded of the Counter Strike which involves precision in shooting while properly managing your ammo!
So this is where you find yourself when first starting:
- (on the bottom right) is your ammo that you should always keep an eye on as currently there is no extra ammo in the game (don't shoot aimlessly)
- Your health bar (I got it reduced to half coz I was testing something while the enemy was attacking --')
- Guns! pick them up and switch between them by scrolling with the wheel of the mouse
- Boxes can't be opened at the moment so we'll have to wait for further updates
- Mini-map, (why not a navigation map?) I guess the devs wanted us to explore the game and focus on discovering each corner of the arena instead of relying on the typical map.
- As you can see, I'm facing an enemy, the red circle around the robot is its health and each robot defeated will drop a heal that restores some of your health.
- It takes 3-4 shots with the basic gun to take down a robot while it gets One-shot with the bazooka-like firegun!
- On the bottom right, I've got 3 guns that I can freely switch between them.
- The mini-map helps with how close robots are and who's targetting you (the red circle around dots).
GG! I was victorious in less than 2 minutes, not bad for my 2nd try! Despite my low-performance PC I was able to run the game with little lags and didn't feel like having constant FPS drops. It's advisable to play on the FireFox browser as I had problem running it on the Brave Browser.

The rewards are based on the type of drone you've defeated:

As well as the level of difficulty (Easy; Medium; Hard)
By reading through the Whitepaper, Weapons and Characters allows you to play for for amount of time per day with a cap at 115 minutes on a 24 hours cooldown.
$BOOM can be staked for 5% rewards and there will be soon a Liquidity Pool for $DOOM.
Conclusion
This game is fascinating and still has lots of room to grow as I see a lot of potential when Crypto shots when the game is launched at its full completion and maybe the launch of PvP battles!
