Viscera Cleanup Detail: Shadow Warrior - Review

in Hive Gaming3 years ago (edited)

Last night I felt like playing something chill, and after scrolls through the monster that become my Steam Library, this baby pops up in the simulator category.

Gameplay

Viscera cleanup detail is basically a Janitor simulator. A janitor that has to clean after the main character of Shadow Warrior basically painted the room with its enemies.

You've got 3 main machines that help you with your cleanup.

An incinerator to burn every evidence that there was a fight.

A box generator to better collect the remaining pieces, so that you don't walk to the incinerator with a single bullet.

And a machine that gives you buckets of clean water to mop up the blood.

All money you can find, it's yours. Actually, is one of the 2 achievements in this game, so don't burn them, and throw them in your box.

Some notes still appear back into your main hub if you missed something. You can use them to get a hint of what you missed in the level. Sometimes you didn't miss anything, but left the incinerator door open. Yeah, that's part of completion.

An important feature is the detector.

With 2 modes, one for detecting blood, and one for leftovers, this device is your salvation when you have 96% completion because you didn't see some broken glass or a bullet in the corner.

Achievements

Yeah, that's all of them. Clean up the level perfectly and put all the money in the trunk instead of fire, And you got yourself another perfect game.

Final impression

Even though this game is just for advertising, with a single level that can be completed in an hour or two, it's a very chill one. You can't actually buy it, since it only comes as a bonus if you buy Shadow Warrior.
