Last week kind of felt like the nail in the coffin for Sorare as I barely care anymore since there are so many lineups and also I scored 414 points on a Rare Challenger lineup which didn't even give a Tier 5 Card Reward. So right now it feels like there are just a lucky few who either have the most consistant players who still hold some value or someone that got really lucky. Aside from this Sorare has just become impossible and I don't see a way for them to break this negative spiral. So I'm looking to sell some of the cards that hold some value still to cut my losses.

Player Transfers & Reward Card
After trying for weeks now, I finally managed to get my Promise David card sold while he's still hot and expensive. I did get 0.2 ETH after fees for it which is around 35€ and I'm happy to let him go for that price even though he's very useful as one of the 2 main Strikers for Union who are a hot forward team in which he also takes the penalties. However, it feels like there is only downside from here in case he would drop form, miss a penalty which is overdue as none are kicked that well. The card also will become classic at the end of the season and he's turning 23 so he no longer will be able to play in those leagues. I did manage to win some prizes with him and only paid 7.6€ as I got a 50% discount 2 months ago. So overall a nice deal.
Season 2024-2025 Owned Collection Value
It's fairly easy to track your personal earnings on the Sobase.Football website. We seem to be at a point again where the rewards don't fully compensate for the drop in card values over time as more get printed and dumped on the market.
I am no longer putting outside funds into Sorare at this point and will track my total account value from here on out weekly. It's been pretty much a race to the bottom as sorare isn't able to come up with dynamics where card prices hold their value.

Conclusion
The enjoyment that I'm getting from Sorare surely has gone down a lot as they fail to fix some of the core issues. If I win something or manage to break even I'm already a happy player. Given the continued inflation, this is a game and not an investment.
