I notice a lot of talk about the power creep of newer card sets. @azircon noted this as a feature of the 'pokemon' type game systems and he is correct. As part of the crew who started that whole industry with Magic: The Gathering, it is a mechanism that so many businesses use or have used in order to keep older adherents of the games purchasing new cards. As I have not gotten into the Splinterlands environment (for monetary and fear of addiction reasons) I can only hope that such a model does not become an aspect of the system.
