HANAMIZAKA HEROICS
Arataki the numero uno Itto is here along with the Arataki gang and Ushi to rock our world with their undying willpower. Itto is an oni who is the head of the Arataki gang, which is infamous around Inazuma (usually for their shenanigans and "gang activities".).
Although many people assume Itto is an evil brute of an oni. But deep inside, he is a kind-hearted person who would do everything possible to help a friend and compadres.
Itto is a DEF scaling DPS that deals a ton of damage by triggering his burst/ultimate and using his special charged attacks.
BASIC ATTACKS
Itto's normal attack, Fight Club Legend, is a four-hit cycle where the 2nd and 4th hit give Itto 1 and 2 stacks of Superlative Super Strength, respectively. The maximum stack of Superlative Super Strength is 5.
When using the charge attack with Superlative Super Strength, Itto will perform a series of Arataki Kesagiri slashes without consuming any stamina but the Superlative Super Strength stacks will be consumed instead.
Elemental Skil
Itt's skill, Akaushi Burst!, is straightforward. Itto will summon the auxiliary member of the arataki gang Ushi into the field, dealing geo damage, and also giving Itto a single stack of Superlative Super Strength. While Ushi is in the field of combat, he will taunt all enemies and if an enemy hits Ushi, Itto will gain a stack of Superlative Super Strength.
Elemental Burst
Upon triggering Itto's Elemental Burst, Itto will enter a state that allows him to gain special properties:
Converts Itto's normal, charged, and plunging attacks to GEO DMG that cannot be overridden by other elemental imbuing buffs.
Itto will gain normal attack SPD.
ATK increase based on Itto's DEF.
on the 1st and 3rd hit of Itto's attack combo, each will give Itto a stack of Superlative Super Strength.
Decrease Itto's Elemental and Physical RES by 20%
Passive Talent
After doing consecutive Arataki Kesagiri slashes(Itto's special charged attack combo), he will gain the following effects:
each slash will increase the ATK SPD of the following slash by 10%. The maximum ATK SPD that can be gained is 30%.
Itto's resistance to interruption will increase.
Second Passive Talent
Itto's Arataki Kesagiri DMG is increased by 35% of his DEF.
Constellations
I personally don't have any of Itto's constellation and in my opinion, C0 Itto is already such a strong DPS with his high DEF scaling attacks. But if I were to pull for any of his constellations, C2 would be the best stopping point.
Constellation 1
After entering Itto's Elemental Burst state, he will gain 2 stacks of Superlative Superlative Super Strength, additionally within Itto's Elemental Burst state, every 0.5s for 1.5s, Itto will gain 1 Superlative Super Strength.
Constellation 2
The reason why C2 is the best stopping point if you want his constellations is because it allows you to have one hundred percent up-time on his burst without needing any battery units on the team.
For each Geo character in the party, Itto's burst cooldown will decrease by 1.5s and restore 6 energy. The amount of cooldown and energy gained in this manner is 4.5s and 18, respectively.
Constellation 3
Itto's Elemental Skill level will be increased by 3. Max level 10 -> 13
Constellation 4
After Itto's Elemental burst ends, all party members gain a 20% increase in both DEF and ATK for 10s.
Constellation 5
Itto's Elemental Burst level will be increased by 3. Ma level 10 -> 13
Canstellation 6
C6 is absolutely cracked as not only will Itto's charged attacks deal +70% crit DMG, but his Arataki Kesagiri slashes will also gain a 50% chance of not consuming stacks of Superlative Super Strength. This enables Itto to continuously deal a crazy amount of damage for a very long time with the help of his C2.
Weapons
Whiteblind (4 STAR)
Whiblind is the best weapon for free-to-play players as you can easily obtain it by crafting it. It is quite tailored for Itto with its high DEF main stat of 51.7%, and at refinement 5, you get a 12% increase to both ATK and DEF for every hit of your normal and charged attack stacking up to 4 stacks giving a total of +48% ATK and DEF.
Serpent Spine (4 STAR)(BATTLE PASS WEAPON)
Serpent Spine is a less free-to-play option for players as you have to buy it from the battle pass but it is also an excellent weapon for many characters and is a nice stat stick for Itto because of the Crit Rate main stat.
Wolf's Gravestone (5 STAR)
Wolf's gravestone is also a nice stat stick for Itto with its ATK main stat but I wouldn't prefer equipping it to Itto, rather, whiteblind would still be a preferable weapon because of Itto's DEF to ATK conversion.
Skyward Pride
Skyward pride is another niche but a viable option for Itto because of its Energy Recharge main stat that it provides.
Redhorn Stonethresher
Redhorn Stonethresher is Itto's signature weapon and his best-in-slot weapon in the game. It has a high Crit DMG main stat of 88.2% but it also increases the wearer's DEF, and it also increases the wearer's charged attack DMG based on the wearer's DEF.
Build and Artifact Set
Husk of the Opulent Dreams
Husk of the Opulent Dreams is Itto's best artifact set to farm for as it's tailored for DEF scaling geo characters like Itto, Noelle, and Albedo.
Main stats and Sub-stats
For SANDS you would want DEF, GEO DMG Bonus for the GOBLET, and either Crit rate or Crit DMG for the CIRCLET depending on your current crit ratio.
For the sub-stats, you should prioritize mainly DEF percent(not flat DEF) and Crit Rate/DMG while still sprinkling some energy recharge.
Team Compositions
Itto is best teamed up with another geo character and Gorou for the buffs that he gives to Itto, and that leaves you with another spot for another unit like Bennett for the attack boost and his healing. (Mind that most of Itto's team requires Gorou's team-wide buffs and any Geo unit can work, not only Zhongli)
