July is jam-packed with great games for cheap 🎮
The continuous release of video games worth playing feels like a non-stop onslaught of reasons to stay glued to your controller. July 2022 is no different, as there are four different games that I want to talk to you about in my video today.
All of these are free on PlayStation, at least during the month of July. Some are free on other platforms as well, but a couple cost $30. You can find all of these games on PC, but only two of them can be played on Xbox.
We've got two brand new releases coming that I will start the video out with. Then the final two games are ones that are still fairly new and still underappreciated. I've got plenty of gameplay for you to enjoy for each of the games as I talk about why you are going to want to try all of these games out when you have the time.

Century: Age of Ashes 🐲 🏰
Century: Age of Ashes is a free-to-play dragon-riding aerial combat game. It has been out on PC for a while and just released on Xbox today. It will be out Tuesday, July 19th for PS4 and PS5.
Stray 🐈 🤖
Stray is the much-anticipated game where you play as a cat in a cyberpunk world filled with robots and odd creatures. It will launch for free to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers on PS4 and PS5. The only other place to play it is PC, where it costs $30. Both will be out on Tuesday, July 19th.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt 🧛🏻♂️ 🩸
Bloodhunt is a free-to-play battle royale game that has been out on PS5 and PC for a few months now. The devs are adding a Team Deathmatch mode with an update that is releasing on Thursday, July 14th.
Arcadegeddon 👾 🔫
Arcadegeddon is a fast-paced third-person shooter with exciting gameplay and amazing EDM music. You can play it on pretty much everything except mobile and Nintendo Switch. It is priced fairly at $30. However, if you are a PS Plus subscriber of any level, you will be eligible to claim it for free during the month of July.

I've already been playing a ton of Arcadegeddon, but I think I am most hyped for Stray. I'm very curious about Century: Age of Ashes and this new TDM mode coming to Bloodhunt, but I don't have my hopes too high for either of those since I may not be a big fan of either.
One thing is for certain, July is full of options for gamers on a budget.

Oh man I can't wait for Stray. Century: Age of Ashes is the next game I'm looking at for my YouTube channel. Excited to give it a go although it seems to be pretty dead on PC. Hoping it has crossplay to consoles to increase the player base a bit.
I know we both have to be hyped for Stray. I almost feel sorry for the Xbox people for not getting that game. I read that Century: Age of Ashes does have full cross-platform battles. I saw you started that new channel and subscribed so that I can watch your videos as soon as they get uploaded to YouTube.
I feel like it is a kind of game that will be more successful on consoles than on PC. Just like Knockout City.

Dude stray is one of the most different not only in this post but in all the games I've seen. I found the idea of playing as a cat very interesting and cool. I already added the game to my wishlist. Not only jumping around, but also going and rubbing up against people. It's going to be a very strange experience and I'm ready for it. Thanks for introducing it.
I'm also very curious about the innovation coming to iOS. I'm using an iPhone too. Even if it's 6 😂.
I really hope that Stray is as fun as it looks. If the game turns out to be amazing, it will surely be remembered for many years to come. So many people LOVE cats. I’m already thinking of a Stray sequel. Maybe go back on time and have it set during Egyptian times.
Bad news about iOS 16. The software will be available for everyone with an iPhone released in 2017 or later. The oldest device supported is the iPhone 8.
I like this idea. With a cat worshipped in ancient Egypt, this gaming experience could be taken to a whole new level.
It's time for me to buy a new phone. I've started saving up for it.
I am picturing a bunch of cats that get worshipped and then you get to play as a Stray cat, one that none of the people care about. You must fight your way to the top and the end goal is to have a giant Sphinx statue created in your honor.
iPhone 14 is coming out, but even something like my iPhone XS would be a great upgrade. I'm sure you can find models like that for much cheaper than the brand new models. Just remember that you may have to get the battery replaced if you buy an older phone. I would check the battery health because having a bad battery caused me a lot of problems in the past.
You should contact the game's development team and tell them about this idea. Maybe they will give you the 2nd game for free 😂.
I've bought a used phone before and I know exactly what you mean, it drove me crazy. I had just bought a new phone and the battery only lasted 5-6 hours. As you said in your article, I don't want to carry a charger with me during the day. My goal is to buy an iphone 11 and see if I can get it.

Interesting, I haven't heard anything about any of those games except for blood hunt. I'll definitely have to check into Stray a bit more myself, the picture you used is quite the attention-grabber for that game.
I haven't played Blood Hunt myself but I have seen some content creators play it, not exactly my niche but good players are interesting to watch.

It is very difficult to resist a cute cat. Everyone is going to want to try Stray and I hope many will love it.
Bloodhunt is fun, but if you don't like battle royale games then it really isn't worth playing. The team deathmatch mode very well may introduce many new players to the game.

Looking forward to Stray!! 😃 I'm hoping that it's playable with a keyboard and mouse on PC. That little bit of information has been lacking. It says Full Controller Support, but no word on the playability with m/kb. Bleh.
That’s a good question about m/kb. I hope for you that it will be compatible. I don’t see why they’d exclude that option, but you never know.
I'm hoping they don't exclude it 🙂 I'm just wary now whenever I see a store page that says "full controller support" because I've gotten quite a few games from Humble Bundle, most of them indie games just like Stray, and I get all excited and ready to play when... dun dun dunnnn... controller only. Wut? Whyyyy? 😭
All of the gameplay videos I've seen so far have been recorded whilst the player was using a controller... so... I'm just sitting here with my fingers crossed, hoping that the other option will be available. 😅 Time will tell!

Bloodhunt is really cool, but kind of hard to do good at. Really hoping this Team Deathmatch mode makes it more enjoyable.
I hope you can eventually play Arcadegeddon. It's one of the most fun games that I've ever played.

It should be an extremely popular game, that means it'll have a magnifying class over it. Let's hope it's not filled with bugs or something when it comes out. Or worse, if it's boring to play.

I'm not much of a gamer if I like them but for budget reasons we can't, I could still give myself some time to play one on the PC so which one would you recommend but it should be free
Bloodhunt or Century: Age of Ashes are both free on PC and worth trying. It's either vampires or dragons.

I am considering on taking the Ps plus extra. Premium is just a waste of money for me. Way too many games with very little amount of time to play it.
There is no point in Premium to me either, I don't want those old games. Extra is very well worth the money though.
With the addition of Miles Morales and some more mentionable ones too, on the Extra. I feel like it’s already worth it without the other games.
