RE: Tiptup destroys the competition in Diddy Kong Racing [ENG/ESP]

I remember that Diddy Kong Racing at the time became a little underrated in its genre, I guess it is, because at that time there were other games in its genre that were more famous, but all of us who played Diddy Kong Racing know how spectacular it was. In my personal opinion it is one of the best in its genre for its time, it is true that graphically in terms of character details were not the best, but still it did not take away how good it was.

If anything, it definitely was a game that was going head to head with Crash Team Racing on the PS1 - 3D racers and a hub world with plenty to do, as well as some unique spins on the expected Mario Kart gameplay.

There's definitely something interesting about how simple it may seem on the surface, but the item upgrade system letting you get away with some zany stuff as well as the very simple trick of letting go of accel when boosting is like...it is a very good thing to jump ahead out of the other races early on, but you definitely feel how even that was intended to be something you SHOULD learn by the time you get to Wizpig 1.

I guess that the funniest thing from playing it all with Tiptup though was to read that he's the second best handling character [second to Pipsy] - which explains why I could almost always hit big turns over boosts.

Krunch is quite the opposite from when I tried it...so as funny as it would be to challenge myself with that, I think I'll skip for now 😅

In any case, it was refreshing to return to this little old game after all. Again, there is more available for me if I want more [Adventure 2], but that will be a tale to tell when I actually get around it.

This time, I've got more patience than before to practice whatever challenges await me there.

And at the end, I somehow forgot to mention in the post that I grew up with Diddy Kong Racing DS, so I've always had a soft spot for Tiptup and the way the game was despite everything - and yet it is rewarding to return to the original today with what it offers.

Thanks for reading and for your comment :D
