Exploring Fallout 4: I rescued a robobrain's head (Jezebel) and fought off powerful enemies to escape.

After finishing the mission about the crazy robots in my previous gameplay, I decided to go and do a quick mission in a place called Goodneighbor. It has some good looking buildings but the majority of them are closed.

Screenshot (616).png

The quick mission consisted of going inside this hotel wearing a ghoul mask and intimidating a drug dealer into adopting a more docile attitude when interacting with a criminal gang that hired me. The other part of the mission requires me to have a guard suit that I currently don't have and I don't know where to get it. I think I got it in the past but somehow lost it so this mission will have to wait until I figure this out.

Screenshot (617).png

Next job was with the Minutemen, they received a call for help from a nearby settlement and I was sent to that place to help set up some defenses and provide my temporary protection against some raiders. The higher the number of allied settlements and their corresponding settlers, the easier it becomes to accumulate resources.

Screenshot (618).png

Here is one settler thanking me for the protection. It must be super hard to try and produce some food/resources in the middle of an apocalyptic wasteland while being attacked by raiders and looters. I guess a few small business owners in America might feel identified with these poor settlers.

The next mission was a very important one. It is related to my robot and its past. There is still one device that we need to find in order to discover the location of the person who killed my robot's friends. This person is in control of a lot of hostile robots that are causing havoc across the wasteland.

While walking to the location of this mission, I encountered a building controlled by super mutants and a small fight began.

Screenshot (620).png

The building wasn't very big, but these monsters are always hostile and if you go near them a fight is something unavoidable. Luckily, my character is now somehow advanced so fighting with them isn't tragic.

Screenshot (621).png

There were some human remains inside the building. Let's remember a super mutant is just a mutated human. Perhaps this one instead of mutating simply died due to the radiation. Or maybe he was killed by super mutants.

Screenshot (622).png

Here you can see my robot literally on fire fighting against an armored super mutant awkwardly standing on top of a chair while I watch from afar so I can take a good screenshot to share here :]

Screenshot (623).png

Another strange place I found appeared to be a karaoke bar. It was strange because this place is apocalyptic and these people were pretending to have a normal life. I explored it but I didn't find anything that could activate a mission. So maybe this is just a curious place so people can relax while thinking about the good old days.

Screenshot (624).png

The guy in the microphone is a synth, a humanoid robot. Some people say the latest version of synths are indistinguishable from real humans, and I still think an important character at some point in the story will be exposed as a secret synth.

Screenshot (625).png

The face in that building reminded me of the Dwemer Centurion from Skyrim, an ancient and very powerful automaton. Man I am so nostalgic about The Elder Scrolls that I even see its characters while playing Fallout 4 O.o

Screenshot (627).png

This tank appears to be in perfect shape. It must be still usable but sadly in Fallout you cannot drive vehicles. Although, there was a mod that allows the player to drive cars but I decided not to install it because this game is designed to be explored by foot.

Screenshot (628).png

After a lot of walking, I finally reached the place to begin the mission about my robot. It was highly protected and it had flamethrowers right at the door. There are also a lot of skulls and robot bodies, meaning the people inside this place are aggressive and they don't like outsiders.

Screenshot (629).png

I needed to enter their underground facilities but the door was locked and lockpicking it was impossible. The only way to open the door was through a computer terminal. They had this computer in that tower with a massive antenna you can see below.

Screenshot (630).png

This one was a very unique looking computer, it looks like a discarded Mac from the 90s or perhaps older.

Screenshot (631).png

Once the door was unlocked, me and my robot were finally able to go inside this facility

Screenshot (632).png

Just after entering it, I was attacked by some powerful enemies. This guy in the picture below has the "Legendary" status, which means he is much more powerful than regular enemies and he also has a valuable item. In this case, it was the knife called "Nocturnal Disciples Blade". I decided to keep the knife of course but my favorite is still Pinkman's Blade.

Screenshot (633).png

This is how the insides of the facility look like. These guys obviously enjoying collecting a lot of stuff.

Screenshot (634).png

When seeing this sort of "altar" for the first time, I thought I was witnessing a robotic satanic ritual or something like that. But a few seconds later I realized those robot bodies were inanimated, all of them except one.

You can see the objective says "Speak to Jezebel". Jezebel is the robobrain robot that is currently trapped in this place. You can see its location under the small green square on the right side of the screenshot.

Screenshot (635).png

In that throne in the back, there was a massive robot, much bigger than normal. It was probably the biggest robot I have ever seen while playing Fallout 4. Luckily, this was the only active robot in this place.

Screenshot (636).png

Here you can see a clear shot of Jezebel. This is a very smart robot, a little bit rude but some of its lines can be fun too. This robot has some information that can be of great use to me. I removed its head from this machine because it asked me to take it away to a safe place and give it a body so it can move freely. In exchange for this, the robot will provide me with the information I need.

Screenshot (638).png

The second after I removed its head, the huge robot in the throne suddenly activated and started to attack me! The robot is so special it doesn't have a generic name but rather a unique one, "Ahab". The fight was extremely challenging and I had to repair my robot like 2 times while fighting against this one massive enemy.

Screenshot (639).png

I was throwing Molotov grenades like crazy at this thing that's why everything is on fire. I don't think my robot is damaged when I throw grenades near him so that's why I don't think twice when it comes to using them.

Screenshot (641).png

This is how the huge robot looks like after being defeated. It still has some electricity going through his body which is not common, so far I have only seemed some synths with this type of electricity after being killed.

Screenshot (642).png

When I was leaving this place with Jezebel's head safely stored in my inventory, I was surprised with new enemies! There were 1 robot and 1 person wearing a modified power armor. This fight was even more difficult than the previous one but I was able to take 1 shaky screenshot.

Screenshot (643).png

I got this valuable weapon from the enemy called "Ivey" which made it all worthwhile. I consumed a lot of ammo and stimpaks with these fights.

Screenshot (645).png

This is the dead robot and you can take a look at the type of inventory these things carry around. It is always good to get as many ammo as possible from your dead enemies.

Screenshot (651).png

I also found this crazy weapon inside a chest! This used to be a robot's head but now I know it can also be used as a weapon. Its crazy and the damage it causes is also very high. A very valuable weapon for sure!

Screenshot (652).png

When using this weapon, you can add several cells (the ammo) and it makes the shot more powerful. This is how it looks after adding 3 cells, it feels like it is about to explode. Those 2 weapons were excellent rewards after facing those powerful enemies.

Screenshot (653).png

After I left that place I went back to my main base with the Minutemen when I have my robot workbench. This bench allows me to create new robots and modify ones that already exist.

For some time I have been thinking about improving my own robot companion. The enemies I have been facing are getting stronger and having an upgraded robot would be extremely useful. These are the first of several changes I will be making to my robot to make it more powerful.

The first obvious change is the head, this is a robobrain head but don't confuse it with Jezebel's head which is also a robobrain head. I will be using that unique head in another robot that you can see in the pictures below. The head my robot Ada is wearing is a normal robobrain head. I chose this type of head because it has a unique shot and it also increases accuracy.

I changed the color from blue to black, and I also changed the weapon in its right arm for a more powerful laser. I didn't change its legs because I wasn't skillful enough to apply that improvement but that will happen soon.

Screenshot (654).png

This is another angle showing off the new look of my robot companion. Changing the head didn't change its personality of voice so it the same robot mind only with a different look.

Screenshot (655).png

In order to continue with the mission, I needed to create Jezebel a body. I created the most basic robot and this is how it looks like. The head is the same but there are a lot of differences in the arm and in the torso.

Screenshot (656).png

This Jezebel robot is never happy and can sometimes be a little bit funny. This was its opinion of the body I created so it can be free again xD.

Screenshot (657).png

I think Jezebel noticed that robot body is the most basic of all but at least it gave me the information I needed to continue with the mission which will be shared in the next Fallout 4 post.

Cheers and thanks for reading!

whoa! this game really does look beautiful in every image. I enjoyed taking that journey with you! i suppose my only real question is does anyone else think Jezebel the robot may have the same programming as Marvin the Paranoid Android??

Hahahahha who knows they might as well do ^^
