What's up my friends, how are you doing, I hope it's really good, it's been a long time since I talk about the GTA saga, and it's something I wanted to talk about, and I think I did a post about it, but not in a very concise way I think, so this would be like the remake of that post xd, but well. GTA V is one of the best selling games in history, one of the most produced, one of the most famous, and one of the best rated in any press you get into, winning a lot of awards, and I come here I think with an unpopular opinion in a way, but I think we are all free to express this kind of things and talk about them with respect, because I know there are people who sure like this game, GTA V was the phenomenon at that time, it is one of those games that transcend and become popular in the general culture, it is rare when it happens, because there are few games that can do this and survive so long in the video game industry.
GTA is a game that next year will be a decade old, this is not surprising because it has been out so long, what is surprising is that Rockstar in all this time has not made any more game of the saga, and I am well aware of the news that they are making a new GTA, but think about it, imagine that to play each new GTA game we have to wait longer and longer, this time more than a decade to be able to play a new game. This tells us two things, that Rockstar is putting effort into their new game, or that they just tried to get all the juice out of this GTA V, is the option that I see more logical, GTA V is one of those games that come out in virtually all consoles, since it came out, it comes out on all platforms, the strange thing is that there is no version for Nintendo Switch, an option that would be very interesting for this game, and I think if I could run the game quietly, but well, who knows why they have not made that decision.
The point with GTA V is that I don't think it's as good a game as it's painted, look, when I played this game, I expected the best, I saw the trailers, and they painted it as if it was going to be the eighth wonder, an unprecedented game, the new revolution of open world games, a different game, where you could rob banks, a game where you could do everything, and I found the opposite, a game with a beautiful world, but empty, I mean, GTA V has a world that feels alive, you believe it, it is spectacular to see the world moving, the people, the cars, the buildings, everything has movement and has life, it is impressive, but it is just that, you can not do anything else with that world, I had already raised this in another post, but talking to a friend I realized that it really is like that, GTA V is a game that does not evolve the saga, it does nothing to improve it, it only puts a couple of useless mechanics, such as the powers, and the missions are very basic, which do not have to be complex, but the other games of the saga compensated you with a good story.
The GTA saga has always been a parody, but this game took that to the extreme, to the point that the game is a total satire to the society of that time. I am impressed to think so, but I do not remember what was the point of the story of this game, nor its villains, nothing, the first half of the game is interesting for the theme of Trevor and how you go alternating roles, how your characters are meeting, it's crazy the first half, even the missions are even entertaining, because the bank robberies you can customize them in quotation marks, but they are good, exciting. To me the banks seemed to be a lost opportunity because instead of taking advantage of that to put banks around the world and make things interesting, you can only rob like 3 or 4 banks, and all in the story of the game, do not think you can do anything in the world of this game because the only thing you can do "entertaining" is play tennis with Michael's wife, do some race around or anything useless that does not benefit you in anything in your experience with the game.
This post was like in plan releasing what I think of GTA V, I was excited about this game, but it is the opposite of a game like Skyrim, I know they are different genres, but at least Skyrim delivers what it promises, which does not happen with GTA V, which is a game where you have a big and boring world, where you can not do anything entertaining apart from the missions that the game throws you, which are basically going from point A to B. Whoever likes the game, perfect, because it has positive points, but in my opinion there are much better games in the genre and I don't think it deserves to have those scores it has, which I don't particularly care much about, but I found it interesting that this game had those ratings being a game that in my opinion is below others even in the same genre.
Qué tal mis panas, como la llevan, espero que muy bien de verdad, hace mucho tiempo que no hablo algo de la saga GTA, y es algo que hace tiempo quería hablar, y creo haberle hecho un post, pero no de una forma muy concisa creo yo, así que este sería como el remake de ese post xd, pero bueno. GTA V es uno de los juegos más vendidos de la historia, de los que mayor producción tuvieron, de los más famosos, y de los mejor puntuados en cualquier prensa que te metas, ganando un montón de premios, y yo vengo aquí creo que con una opinión impopular de cierta manera, pero creo yo que todos somos libres de expresar este tipo de cosas y hablarlas con respeto, porque yo sé que hay gente que seguro que le gusta este juego, y pues a mí de alguna forma me gustó en su tiempo también, le dediqué muchas horas y antes de jugarlo me moría por hacerlo, GTA V era el fenómeno en ese entonces, es de esos juegos que trascienden y se hacen populares en la cultura general, es raro cuando pasa, porque son pocos los juegos que pueden hacer esto y sobrevivir tanto tiempo en la industria de los videojuegos.
GTA es un juego que el próximo año va a cumplir una década de haber salido, esto no es sorprendente por el hecho de que haya salido tanto tiempo, lo sorprendente es que Rockstar en todo este tiempo no ha hecho más ningún juego de la saga, y estoy muy consciente de esa noticia de que están haciendo un nuevo GTA, pero piénsenlo, imagínense que para jugar cada nuevo juego de GTA nos tengamos que esperar cada vez más tiempo, esta vez más de una década para poder jugar un nuevo juego. Esto nos quiere decir dos cosas, que Rockstar le está metiendo empeño a su nuevo juego, o que solo intentaron sacarle todo el jugo a este GTA V, es la opción que veo más lógica, GTA V es de esos juegos que salen en prácticamente todas las consolas, desde que salió, sale en todas las plataformas, lo raro es que no haya una versión para Nintendo Switch, una opción que estaría muy interesante para este juego, y creo que si podría correr el juego tranquilamente, pero bueno, a saber por qué no han concretado esa decisión.
El punto con GTA V es que no creo que sea tan buen juego como lo pintan, fíjense, yo cuando jugué este juego, valga la redundancia, me esperaba lo mejor, veía los trailers, y te lo pintaban como si fuera a ser la octava maravilla, un juego sin precedentes, la nueva revolución de los juegos de mundo abierto, un juego distinto, donde podías atracar bancos, un juego donde podías hacer de todo, y me encontré con todo lo contrario, un juego con un mundo bonito, pero vacío, me explico, GTA V tiene un mundo que se siente vivo, te lo crees, es espectacular ver el mundo moviéndose, la gente, los autos, los edificios, todo tiene movimiento y tiene vida, es impresionante, pero es solo eso, no puedes hacer nada más con ese mundo, ya había planteado esto en otro post, pero hablando con un amigo me di cuenta que de verdad es que es así, GTA V es un juego que no evoluciona la saga, no hace nada para mejorarla, solo te pone un par de mecánicas inútiles, como la de los poderes, y las misiones son muy básicas, que tampoco tienen que ser complejas, pero los otros juegos de la saga te lo compensaban con una buena historia.
La saga GTA desde siempre ha sido una parodia, pero este juego llevo eso al extremo, al punto de que el juego es una sátira total a la sociedad de ese entonces. Me impresiona pensarlo, pero yo no recuerdo cual era el punto de la historia de este juego, ni sus villanos, nada, la primera mitad del juego es interesante por el tema de Trevor y cómo vas alternando los papeles, el cómo tus personajes se van encontrando, es una locura la primera mitad, hasta las misiones son hasta entretenidas, porque los robos al banco los puedes customizar muy entre comillas, pero son buenos, emocionantes. A mí lo de los bancos me pareció una oportunidad perdida porque en vez de aprovechar eso para ponerte bancos por el mundo y hacer interesante la cosa, solo puedes robar como 3 o 4 bancos, y todos en la historia del juego, no creas que puedes hacer algo en el mundo de este juego porque lo único que puedes hacer de “entretenido” es jugar tenis con la esposa de Michael, hacer alguna carrera por ahí o cualquier cosa inútil que no te beneficia en nada en tu experiencia con el juego.
Este post era como en plan soltando lo que pienso de GTA V, me emocionaba este juego, pero es todo lo contrario a un juego como Skyrim, sé que son géneros distintos, pero al menos Skyrim cumple lo que promete, cosa que no pasa con GTA V, que es un juego donde tienes un mundo grande y aburrido, donde no puedes hacer nada de entretenido aparte de las misiones que te arroja el juego, que son básicamente ir del punto A al B. Al que le guste el juego, perfecto, porque tiene puntos positivos, pero en mi opinión hay mucho mejores juegos en el género y no creo que merezca tener esas puntuaciones que tiene, que particularmente no me importa mucho, pero me pareció interesante que este juego tuviera esas calificaciones siendo un juego que en mi opinión está por debajo de otros incluso en el mismo género.
GTA V es un juego con fallas grandísimas pero también es demasiado sólido y Rockstar no se ha visto en la necesidad por moverse con su secuela por la cantidad de dinero que sigue produciendo, es una pena, porque siento que en 10 años la industria ha evolucionado demasiado en términos de tecnología y siento que podrían hacerse cosas increíbles con un hipotético GTA VI.
Mi problema ya entra casi que en toda la saga GTA, es como si se hubiera quedado estancada, parece un juego moderno y todo por los gráficos, pero a nivel de mecánicas son juegos muy desfasados ya, como llevan las misiones, ese tipo de cosas, espero que hagan las cosas bien con el próximo, porque obvio que son tipos talentosos, ya lo han demostrado con Bully, Manhunt o L.A Noire, juegos distintos, pero no creo que sea arriesguen tanto, por eso me da lástima ya esta saga, pero mientras siga vendiendo lo van a seguir haciendo, y mira que soy super fan de la saga.
