This time, I've decided to start posting on my secondary account, which at some point, may become primary. When I first registered on Hive, I didn't imagine that I would stay so long, so I chose the name '@mateodm03'. However, over time, I don't really like that name.
¡Hola a todos! ¿Cómo están? Hoy vuelvo con el contenido de Need For Speed Unbound. Esta vez, he decidido empezar a publicar en mi cuenta secundaria, que en algún momento, quizá se convierta en primaria. La primera vez que me registré en Hive, no imaginaba que me quedaría tanto tiempo, así que elegí el nombre '@mateodm03'. Sin embargo, con el tiempo, ese nombre no me termina de convencer del todo, por lo que en un futuro quizá cambie de cuenta.
In previous chapters, I was upgrading my Mazda RX-7 to prepare it for the elimination race, where I needed to have a car that was up to the task in order to get the top prize.
What are elimination races?
It is an event of a total of three races, starting with 8 competitors, who are eliminated at each stage. In the first race, two competitors are eliminated; in the second race, three are eliminated. In the final race, the three competitors left alive participate.
To participate you must put $50,000
The winner of the event is rewarded with $100,000 in in-game currency and a car, in this case, the Ford Crown Victoria (2008).
These heats are part of the game's history.
En anteriores capitulos, estuve mejorando mi Mazda RX-7 para prepararlo para la carrera de eliminación, dónde necesitaba tener un coche a la altura para poder hacerme con el botin mayor.
¿Qué son las carreras de eliminación?
Es un evento de de tres carreras, que comienza con 8 competidores, de los cuales se van eliminando en cada etapa. En la primera carrera, se eliminan dos competidores; en la segunda, tres. En la carrera final participan los tres competidores que quedaron con vida.
El ganador del evento es recompensado con 100.000$ en la moneda del juego y con un coche, en este caso, el Ford Crown Victoria(2008)
Para participar hay que poner 50.000$
Estas eliminatorias forman parte de la historia del juego.
It was time to see if I could keep the car and the money. I started by looking at my rivals, only two had a better car than me, so my priority was to take them out of the race so that the weakest competitors would be left for the final stretch.
Llegó la hora de ver si me puedo quedar con el vehiculo y el dinero. Empecé por ver a mis rivales, solo dos tenian un mejor coche que yo, asi que me prioridad era sacarlos de la carrera para que queden los competidores más debiles para la recta final.
I had a good start in the first race, getting to third place, until I took a wrong turn and crashed into a building. From there, I did everything I could to avoid being among those eliminated, managing to be in fifth place, which meant that I was going to start almost last in the second race.
Había iniciado de buena manera la primera carrera, llegando a estar en el tercer puesto, hasta que tomé mal una curva y me estrellé contra un edificio. Desde ahí, hice todo lo posible para no quedar entre los eliminados, logrando quedar en el quinto puesto, lo que significaba que iba a empezar casi último en la segunda carrera.
In the second race, it was quite easy to position myself in first place, however, in the middle of the race, the police presence began to bother me, especially me, so I was whistled and sent to the last place. I did not make it through the race, finishing in fourth place. However, the game gives you the limited option to restart the race once, so I tried again and, miraculously, in the end I was able to get third place and make it to the final race.
En la segunda carrera, fue bastante fácil posicionarme en el primer puesto, sin embargo, en la mitad de la carrera, la presencia policial me empezó a incomodar especialmente a mi, por lo que me pitearon y me mandaron al ultimo puesto. No logré remontar la carrera, quedando en el cuarto puesto. Sin embargo, el juego te da la opción limitada de reiniciar la carrera una vez, así que lo volví a intentar y, milagrosamente, al final pude conseguir el tercer puesto y llegar a la carrera final.
I'm so lucky that a cop fell from the sky to ruin my career. - Tengo tanta suerte que cayó un policia del cielo para arruinarme la carrera.
It was time to face the final race. However, I had not achieved my goal, which was to leave out the rival with the best car in the previous races, so it was going to be difficult to win the race.
Llegó el momento de enfrentarme a la carrera final. Lamentablemente, no habia logrado mi objetivo, que era dejar afuera en las anteriores carreras al rival con mejor coche, asi que iba a estar dificil hacerme con la carrera.
On numerous occasions during the race, I took the wrong turns or the police made the race difficult for me alone, so I had to use the last option of repeating. In the end, luckily, I was able to win the race on the home straight.
Durante la carrera, cometí varios errores al tomar las curvas y, además, la policía se encargó de dificultarme el camino, enfocándose solo en mí. Tuve que recurrir a la última opción de reiniciar, pero finalmente, por suerte, logré ganar en la recta final.
I had the option to sell the Ford Crown Victoria to earn a lot of money, but I decided to customize it as it should be. I didn't like at all the design it had as it was delivered to me, it lost the essence of the car completely with that body, so I had the great idea to modify it to look like a Highway Patrol vehicle.
Tenia la opción de vender el Ford Crown Victoria para ganar bastante dinero, pero decidi personalizar como debe ser. No me gustaba para nada el diseño que tenia tal cual me lo entregaron, perdia la esencia del coche completamente con esa carroceria, asi que tuve la genial idea de modificarlo para que pareciera un vehiculo de la Highway Patrol.
