What is DCITY?
"dCity is a city simulator game based on Hive-Engine Non-Fungible Tokens. The NFTs represent assets in the game. Each individual card is a building, citizen, etc., and the total collection of your cards is your city. dCity allow players to optimize their cities in terms of buildings, population and income."

Well, the game is kinda mathematical and you gotta compile stuffs like cards attributes from the info page and values at market... If you are interested you can also try dialogues with folks on discord, since politics, government, lobbying and investment/trading are correlated subjects.
To a beginner, the main aspect to understand is that they make tokenomics work in a sustainable way successfully together with ecosystem by yielding #HIVE through SIM Power (SP), a 30 days average of your #SIM holdings, both accouting SIM on pools and wallet (+ placed bids on in-game market). They understand very well how to bridge and allocate liquidity working with Keychain and Hive Engine, so many secondary tokens can be used as currency to trade cards, although more iliquid to find a counterpart.
Their moat is the trust in Gerber, Nervi and Scriptioner!! Wont tag to not bother. Another fun topic its the talk over presidents and elections. Ecoinstant is frequently elected and has good tutorials linked in discord to help understand the overall economy. Be aware some main change happened with popularity/population linked to citizen farming since then... So now you need to get on top 400 of income leaderboard to start claimimg daily young citizens on discord instead and these cities might be a bit outdated with still many others diverses aspects of the game available to understand.
Taxes are always high lol and part of the game, the meta to start is tax refund and for that you also need positive income and at least 8k SP. All that is very easy to get and a fast break even, not much but honest work, so you might want to scale that after it, there are recent nice beginners guides by players like Ryosai and Gungunkrishu in a more detailed way that can better help you... So good luck!!
I'm mainly here to review some economics/tokenomics game topics and share long term view, it doesn't demand much time after you understand the basics of whats going on, but its a good excuse for doing nothing (lol) or anything else while that...

Don't have a especific strategy for it and just go with what sounds to make sense at the time with minor changes and some pivots here and there... Like with few positive income available now and part of the ladder game, then some more shift focus on education, so its kinda a matter of balancing all.
With new tax decrease combined buildings and starting looking more to get into better ranking income spots and prepare city for possible future where this could be useful, which demands more investment, so beyond tax refunds and some social support aid, also went to get more business cards that generate income, crime decrease, and crisis prevention.
Got a Law Corporation card by negotiating on discord and still think it was a good deal with a 10% discount from individual required cards by ask prices, tryied to bid the advanced tech needed for sometime and didn't find much liquid because these players are also smart and patient lol, which is the right way to play... I also was not sure if they could run out from offer soon because of the -4% tax decrease...
For most assets they are liquid and transactions happens nicely in days or weeks depending also on the coherence of its price and value (if you don't want to take it at market). Overall market momentum is part of volume and how we are able to increase our base uaw. Its mainly just a matter of get used to the Ui.
I made a bad deal by buying the Large Graveyard by 2,5x the current price, but it was a learning to also try to be more patient too, so now on road to build more SP and yield hive while trying to bid some more of these cards, like Large Garbage Dump, and Large University Campus for tax decrease, or maybe some cards required to combine... Beyond that, University Campus can help training students chances now. So you can see Im not upgraded in education and needing to give it more importance to start farming tech too.
I always want to go for the SIM Millionaire club but am always finding reasons to re-invest in other stuffs lol, so I actually have some fun organizing it. Well, that was just meant to be some brief talk to possibly welcome new people and turning it more familiar through a player's side view of these dynamics. Remember to also check Beeswap, the best platform on hive for swaps, obviously (cause of lower fees ), but also to convert swap.hive with a lower slippage, and check hive engine tokens and pools infos! They are not paying me for this!!

I didn't know about airdrop. 'll search it... I know at some point there was an insane giveaway with high payout near after bullrun ath. Its also interesting to have some weight to lobby in-game or even on discord and to vote...
