Third entry in the survival diary.

In the previous chapter I had left unfinished exploring a part of Delta Station. To be more precise, I missed to take a look at the huge communications antenna that was right in front of the station.
After checking it completely, I realized that it had been a waste of time, but even so I was not going to leave empty-handed. I started to walk slowly around the island on the left side, starting from the beginning, since the station was on the right.
En el capítulo anterior me había quedado pendiente explorar un parte de la Estación Delta. Para ser más exactos, me faltó echarle un ojo a la enorme antena de comunicaciones que estaba justo en frente de la estación.
Luego de revisarla por completo, me di cuenta de que había sido una pérdida de tiempo, pero aun así no me iba a ir con las manos vacías. Comencé a recorrer poco a poco la isla por la zona izquierda, partiendo desde el inicio, pues la estación estaba a la derecha.
After walking a bit and going through a series of tunnels, I found something very interesting in a cave. At first glance it didn't look like something made by humans and when I scanned it, in the description it said something about a power or energy core, so I decided to take it with me in case I needed it later.
Después de andar un poco y de atravesar una serie de túneles, encontré en una cueva algo muy interesante. A simple vista no parecía algo hecho por humanos y al escanearlo, en la descripción decía algo de un núcleo de poder o de energía, así que decidí llevármelo por si más adelante me hacía falta.
AUpon finding this artifact, my motivation increased and I decided to continue exploring, but this time through the back of the station, as I had previously seen something that looked like stairs. When I reached the place, I found that they were indeed stairs leading to a system of caves that crossed the island.

Upon entering the cave, I found a huge amount of materials and supplies, among which gold and sulfur stood out. The challenge now was to manage my inventory well in order to carry the essentials.

At the end of the cave was a research station and next to it I can make out a small crack in the rocks that led to a part of the cave, which was impossible for someone my size to access, but which was filled with diamond ore. I'll have to find a way to access those diamonds.

With my inventory full, I decided to return to the safety pod to free up some space and create some new tools. In this way I launched myself into the sea and with the underwater slider I sped off.

As I was crossing a geothermal area, I heard behind me a loud growl accompanied by a noise that sounded as if something was trying to bite me. Startled, I quickened my pace and turned around to find that indeed a very strange looking creature had tried to attack me. From its shape, I don't think it's a leviathan, but I still have to tread carefully in this area, as they will prove to be extremely aggressive.
Mientras cruzaba una zona geotérmica, escuché a mis espaldas un fuerte gruñido acompañado de un ruido que sonaba como si algo intentase morderme. Asustado, aceleré el paso y me giré para comprobar que efectivamente una criatura de aspecto muy raro había intentado atacarme. Por su forma, no creo que sea un leviatán, pero aun así tengo que andar con cuidado por esta zona, ya que demostrarán ser extremadamente agresivos.
I continued my return to the capsule and took the opportunity to visit the penguin habitat to scan one and see if there was anything interesting. I didn't find anything relevant and, although I didn't take too long, I was late getting back.

Although it was already dark, I continued to advance close to the surface to avoid encountering any other hostile creature and, at the same time, I admired the beautiful night landscapes of this planet. When I reached the capsule, the first thing I did was to create all the necessary parts to assemble the habitat builder.

I waited for daybreak and immediately began to build what would be my first base on this planet. Although my materials and designs were somewhat limited, I was very clear about what I wanted to do. I wanted a simple base consisting of ample space for storage lockers and, to the side, a scanner room that would make my collection missions easier.
Esperé a que amaneciera e inmediatamente comencé a construir lo que sería mi primera base en este planeta. Aunque mis materiales y diseños eran algo limitados, tenía bien claro lo que quería hacer. After building the central habitat of the base, I added a solar panel to run the oxygen generator and also added four inputs. The four inputs were a mistake, as to add more stations I would have to remove almost all of them, and I realized this when placing the scanner room.
Luego de construir el hábitat central de la base, le agregué un panel solar para que funcione el generador de oxígeno y también le agregué cuatro entradas. Las cuatro entradas fueron un error, ya que para agregar más estaciones tendría que removerlas casi todas, y de esto me percaté a la hora de colocar la sala de escáner.
With the structure ready, it was time to furnish the new house. Before going inside, I put in some glass windows and then I had to reinforce some of the base panels because glass windows are very aesthetic, but they take away from the structure's strength. Inside, I placed a biomass reactor, which would provide me with energy during the night. I also added the creation stations on one wall, and on the other walls, I placed several storage lockers.
Con la estructura lista, era hora de amueblar la nueva casa. Antes de entrar, coloqué algunas ventanas de cristal y luego tuve que reforzar algunos paneles de la base porque las ventanas de cristal son muy estéticas, pero le quitan dureza a la estructura. En el interior, acomodé un reactor de biomasa, el cual me proporcionaría energía durante la noche. También agregué en una pared las estaciones de creación y en las otras paredes acomodé varias taquillas de almacenamiento.

As such, the base was ready and functional. But, taking advantage of the fact that I had some glass and titanium left over, I decided to add a section with a purely aesthetic function. On the opposite side of the entrance, I added an observatory that, although its name sounds important, is actually a medium-sized habitat covered with glass panels that allows a 360° view.
Como tal, la base ya estaba lista y funcional. Pero, aprovechando que me sobró cristal y titanio, decidí agregarle una sección con una función meramente estética. En el lado opuesto a la entrada, agregué un observatorio que, si bien su nombre suena importante, en realidad es un hábitat mediano cubierto de paneles de cristal que permite ver casi a 360°.
Inside the observatory I set up an aquarium, which I filled with some fish species that were in the surroundings, and the truth is that I was very pleased with the result. No matter what time of the day you visit the aquarium, it always looks amazing.
En el interior del observatorio instalé un acuario, el cual llené con algunas especies de peces que había en los alrededores, y la verdad es que quedé muy complacido con el resultado. No importa qué hora del día visites el acuario, siempre se ve increíble.

Thus the base was completed and the day's tasks were finished. I hope that this new base will allow me to further improve my equipment and increase my chances of survival on this alien planet.
De esta forma quedó completa la base y concluyeron las tareas de ese día. Espero que esta nueva base me permita mejorar aún más mi equipamiento y aumentar las posibilidades de sobrevivir en este planeta alienígena.

How deep is your base? The solar panel seems to be working fine here... might not be too deep...right?
Aquarium within an ocean is crazy idea...love it!
It is not too deep as I built it right next to the rescue capsule at the beginning. The solar panel works well, but only during the day. At night I use the biomass generator.
The aquarium in the sea was like putting an aquarium inside another aquarium because the base is like a terrarium inside the sea for a human and inside there is an aquarium for fish that is inside a terrarium that is inside the sea. 🤯
