This game pack surprised me. I knew there would be more to do and more items for the wedding day, but this gaming pack actually really good! Your sim can chose the wedding venue, how their wedding should be, what the important things to do in the wedding and what to prepare before the wedding.

Before this gaming pack there was just the option to get married right away (you can do it now too) or plan a wedding. The original way to plan it was to only chose guest, bartender, a cook, a place to get married (there was no venues) and that was much it. You use much more sim days to go through everything in the wedding stories game pack.
Let's guide you through it from the start:
I showed the world in part 1, and I love how it looks. But the most important part of the world is this area. This is where the magic happens: It's where you buy the wedding cake, chose your formal wear, buy flowers and taste different kind of cake.
The pink caravan is where you can buy your wedding bouquet.
You can chose between a lot of flowers, and this is a nice add because your sim can toss the wedding bouquet in the end of the wedding too if your sim want to.
You can chose between a lot of flowers, just pick one that you like. I hoped there could be a way to create your own bouquet. If your sim getting 10 in floral decoration, can he/she make a bouquet for weddings? That would be amazing if it's possible.
What is almost the most important thing on your wedding day?
A cake! I love that there is so many different cakes too. They have so many different looks too. This excites me!
I have played the sims forever, and there have always been boring wedding cakes and birthday cakes.
It got better after some updates in Sims 4, where you can create different kinds of cakes. But this game pack makes it so much better, because there is soooo many pretty cakes to chose from this shop! You can also chose as much cake as you want to and you don't need to eat it on your wedding. You can eat it on a normal day if your sim want to. Haha. Why not?
And of course, your sims need clothes for the wedding day!
I actually was surprised to see this shop. Because you can change your formal wear anytime you want by clicking on any mirror or a wardrobe. But this makes the experience even better! And if you want to, your sim can only window shop if your sim want to. It would be even better if you could go inside with your sim and it would look like an actually wedding shop
The one thing I love with getting any new gaming- and expansion packs is to get new items.
And I was really excited to see the formal clothes that came with this game pack.
My sim looked sooo great. The clothes is amazing... or it was for my female sim. The male sim, it wasn't that good as I hoped for. I actually chose the formal wear who came with the original The Sims 4.
But let's start with the favorites for my female sim:
I love that there is so many styles, and they look modern too.
Everyone that have played the Sims know that the creators aren't any fashionistas and there is so much weird clothing. Even the cooperation with Moschino was one of the bad ones. I removed that one because it was horrible!
But these wedding dresses are amazing. I must say that these are some of my favorites clothing they ever have released in any game pack. And you don't need to chose a white wedding dress either, there is a lot of colors to chose from too. That means you can chose one of these dresses, in another color for an another occasion for formal wear.
The one dress I chose for my sim are shown later in this post.
And the styles for the male sim:
Don't expect much. The male sim looks very square. Just see his
thighs. They are so weird. And I think that is the reason why I hated everything on the sim.
But even tho my male sim looks weird, the clothes are just weird and doesn't look like they creators of this game pack have spent time on this. The last one that is shown down under is my favorite of these clothes, maybe the sim is just the wrong one.
A lot to prepare for the wedding.
Or if you don't want to do much out if it, it's up to you. But you can chose your officiant, ring bearer, sim of honor and flower pal. How amazing is that? And you can ask as many sims as you want to, and chose who you want on your wedding day.
But the one thing I didn't like is that when my female sim did chose to plan the wedding, all of the ones I chose for my male sim didn't had the option to chose them. That is a huge bummer. I also wanted to have more flower pals at the wedding, but I couldn't do that either.
This have been a problem in every sims game. I remembered earlier on the old The Sims game, if your female sim chose to marry you, he gets her last name and vica verca. And I never played The Sims 3, but I remember on 1 and 2 you couldn't change the last name. In Sims 4 that is possible any time.
My sim chose to travel with her friends to find a wedding dress and try out cakes. These are also the officiant, ring bearer and sim of honor. My female sim chose her kid (the kid wasn't planned) as her ring bearer.
I didn't know what to expect, but as I wrote in the start: I was so surprised.
I started off with making a house a rental in the new world, Tartosa, that comes with the game pack. This house was there as a residential, but I wanted a place to my sims to stay while their wedding is going on. I did give it a small makeover inside, so it looks more romantic.
Let's get ready for the wedding day!
Here are all of the events! I thought there would only be a wedding ceremony as the old game. But WOW, this makes the game a lot more fun and you aren't done with the game pack early too.
Of course, you don't need to do all this, it's up to you.
When you have started an event of your chose. You get different activities to chose from. You can chose as many as you want to. Just make sure to complete them to get a gold... it's not bad if you don't tho.
While you are doing the tasks, just remember the event doesn't last as long as you chose. I didn't like that there is no timer on these events, so you don't know how long it lasts.

And as you can see, it was a total chaos. People sat wherever they liked, and there was no smooth flow over it. It may be because my computer is running on a little low memory. But this was just annoying. At least they sat down. The wont-sit-down-bug is a well known one, but it seems like it's been fixed?
My sim finally found her right place. But it was still chaos.
Trying out an another table again?
There is some nice items in this game pack.
You can have a chocolate fountain, or you can chose cheese or whatever you like in the fountain too. You can evolve the taste of it too. A great show off to your sims wedding.
And finally: Its time for the final wedding!
Here you see how it looks when you are sending out invites to the guests. I like that you can invite a lot of guests too.
There is a lot more to chose from the activity selection.
Even tho it's a lot, some of them doesn't take much time. I didn't chose as many as I did earlier, just because I knew I wanted to have time to explore other stuff.
Because it's wedding stories, you can create a new lot: Wedding venue
And that is really nice. I chose the venue that came in the world Tartosa. A pretty place, where it is great to start off when i'm exploring this game pack.
And let's present to you: A little bit more chaos
There is a lot of options. And that makes it chaotic. I tried out a lot of different kinds of ceremony activities, but it just became chaotic. Some of the sims didn't do what they was told. Some left, some stood in the way, some stood the wrong way... it didn't work smoothly.
I chose the option "Exchange Vows with Officiant and Kiss
But the officiant I chose did leave at some point, because no people was gathering, my sims that was going to marry was going the other way. Annoying!
But in the end, they actually did got married (finallyyyy). And look at her pretty dress and hair! I like the simple dress, or as Coco Chanel says : Less is always more.
And because all of this took time, it became dark.
I love that the guest can blow bubbles or/and throw rice. I chose both, just to see how it was. I forgot to make my sims go down the aisle, and I think that would have made it more smooth and maybe sent the flower girl down the aisle first.
Maybe I was the problematic one, and not my sims. Haha!
But they did get married in the end. (Happy ending?)
And there is always something "bad" happening at any wedding so I guess this was it. The most important one is that they got each other even tho it was a bad or good wedding. How cliche as it sounds.
Also a reminder to the chaos. Always chose to hold the bouquet before you go down the aisle. If you forget (as I did) you can place the bouquet in world and place it where you want it at home.
I tried really hard to "Start Bouquet Throw" but thaaaaat didn't work at all. My sim went everywhere (she went all around the lot) to try to toss it. No one gathered around to catch it, and it just took a lot of time so I rather wanted to cut the cake than spend time on something that didn't work.
Conclusion?
Even tho it was a lot of chaos, some things that didn't worked smooth and some things I couldn't finished I LOVED IT. There was so many options and so much to do in this game pack. I really love the new world, Tartosa. It looks like a French or Italian world. Really romantic. I did earlier moved one of my sims to this world, just to explore it and this world is one of the most amazing ones!
I love that you can create your own wedding venue and the prosess of getting married takes time! But it's anyways up to you how much time you want to spend on preparing for the big day!
I didn't marry a lot of my sims before, because I couldn't see the point of it. But I think there will be a lot more marriages now ♥️

OMG I didn´t know about that game pack! I haven´t update my game since the magic expansion, it looks great! I love that The Sims tries to put more and more items and personalization. Nice post!
