Falador And Morytania.jpg

I found myself in need of some agility levels. While I was working on that I decided to break up the grind a bit by also working on some easy diary achievements for the two regions I was in.

Falador Rooftop Course

I needed to gain some agility levels so I thought I'd give Falador rooftop a try. I no longer need marks for anything since I don’t care about farming an insane amount of them just to color my Graceful outfit. So, I was just looking for a place that was not overly complex with some agility experience per hour.

It turns out I have not even done this one yet. It was somehow considered a hard achievement as well. While I'm not even close to doing hard achievements it’s always nice to knock one for the area out early.

I stayed till I hit level 60 agility. This ended up being about 36 laps around the place. After that, I started looking around for something with a bit better experience. As I still needed a couple more levels and I did not want to spend a whole day here grinding. I also just needed a change after doing 36 laps.

Falador Easy Diary Achievements

I would have thought with how much time I've spent around Falador I'd have more of these already done. It turns out most are just stuff I'd not think to do or have any reason to do so in the first place. So, I only had the agility shortcut, taking a boat to Entrana, and something to do with the motherload mine done.

I had no idea you could change your hairstyle in the game after creating your character. I did not want to change my style whatsoever. It however required me to get my beard shaved. How evil of them!

There was also just stuff I don’t know why anyone would want to do. Like killing a duck in the park. I thought being made to get a shave was bad enough. I’m starting to think the people of Falador are quite evil.

I did at the very least end up finding a nice little spot to mine some Blurite. It’s a shame the stuff is rather worthless. So, I did not find knowing this that great of a help either.

For the most part, I found the remaining tasks I needed to do to finish this easy diary to be just as pointless as most of them ended up being. I still went around and did things like fill a bucket with water, learn my family crest, and check out some shops for things I was not going to buy.

Once that was all done, I went to collect my reward. The bulk of it ended up being a Falador Shield 1 which allows you to regain 25% of your prayer experience from using it once a day. Since there are prayer potions this feels like quite a wasted inventory spot. If I were to finish all of the Falador diaries the shield would up upgrade to 100% twice a day which is far more useful. Sadly, I'd need level 80 and 90 skills to do that. Which I'm quite a long way from getting.

Werewolf Agility Course

I ended up finding out I could be getting nearly double the experience per hour running the Werewolf agility course. That course was not that far away from Canifits in Morytania which ended up being more important than I first had considered it to be.

There was a bit of a catch. First, it has this strange machinic of you needing to pick up a stick and turn it in. Second, there is a massive zip line you have to go down and it has quite a high fail rate resulting in a small to decent amount of damage being taken.

I kind of expected there to be something odd to be able to have a course that did almost double per hour in experience than what I had been doing. While there was possibly an even better course that required working out far too many things that did not seem worthwhile unless I was going to be grinding that one for half a week or longer.

There also ended up being something else I did not know. It was not a big deal but you can’t be any kind of helms while using the zipline. At first, I tried to take off my Graceful helm every time and then put it back on. As after all I wanted the full benefit of the graceful outfit. With how short this course was however I ended up finding it just easier if I did not.

This would mean over time I'd be out of running energy without having a full set of graceful equipped. I however found that to be a tradeoff I was willing to accept. Even more so since from time to time, I'd need to AFK anyways so I'd come back to my character having full energy again anyway.

the zipline.jpg

I also discovered the further along you made it on the zipline the less damage you would take if and when you fell. Since it was a random chance there was not an if but a when. Even more so at my level. At the very least there was only a small amount of experience difference between making it down the zipline and falling off it.

After a while, I ran out of food in my inventory and needed to restock more for healing. That is when it came in handy being so close to Canifits as there was a bank there I could use.

I ended up doing 183 laps around the Werewolf course to go from level 60 to 64. Once I hit level 64 that was all I needed and I decided to call it a break. I was getting rather sick of running around this course at that point. I can only hope now have the level to grind somewhere else when that time comes to work on agility leveling again.

Morytania Easy Diary Achievements

killing a ghoul.jpg

Being in Morytania it was time to knock out the easy diary for the region. At this point, I'm quite set on getting as many of these in the easy tier done as well. So, it was one of those why not get it out of the way kind of deals.

Since the ghouls were right next to the fairy ring in a graveyard, I ran over to them after getting some needed items for the achimenes I was about to work on. These things died in just a couple of swings making for a quick kill.

I then ran over to Canifits an item in my inventory called a snelm. Did I need to know there was an item in this game that was a snail helmet? Heck no! Yuk. It seems snails are kind of a theme for Morytania as I even had to cook a thin snail for another achievement.

Near Canifits is a slayer master I've yet to work for. It turns out that getting a task from them is also something I needed to do. It is a good thing I had already finished my last Slayer tasks so I could get one here. While it was not a requirement to finish it I decided it was best since it required 17 ghoul kills and that was easy enough.

Slayer tower.jpg

One place I wish I got Slayer tasks to go to more often was Slayer Tower. I ran in there to kill a banshee kill. Since I only needed the one, I had no reason to stick around and went to work on the next achievement.

While in most regions I already had a few easy ones done. In Morytania that was not so much the case. One of them had to deal with Ecotuntus which I'm glad I did not have to do again. The other was just entering into the swamp which I have been there so many countless times already.

One of the farming plots you can place a scarecrow down at. This was perhaps one of the few ones where I needed to leave the region, I was working on achievement to go elsewhere. I needed to get some hay and fill a sack with it.

Finally, I just had two quick ones left. One was talking with an NPC to tan some cowhide for me. Another one was to kill a townsperson in Canifits. The catch was they could not be allowed to turn into a werewolf so I just used a silver weapon.

the reward.jpg

It was then time to collect my reward. While it might not sound like much one of them is getting a 2.5% boost to the slayer experience while on a task in Slayer Tower. Now that makes me wish I was getting more tasks out there. Seeing as how many people spend an insane amount of time just to farm different outfits for skills that only give that kind of boost. That was not bad for how long this took. I just hope I don’t have to wear the plate legs to get that bonus.

I also got some plate legs that allow you to teleport to the slime bit in Ecofuntus. I hope I don’t ever have to farm those tokens again. I also more than likely just use the fairy ring out in that part of the region to get over there. So not much of a helpful item.
