The biggest reason I wanted a priest was to enchant tools. This would however quite a lot. From crafting a local altar to getting him all the way to see the gods to join the priesthood. I was also going to need to grind quite a few different skills on him as well.
For large amounts of this adventure, I just left my main in the mine gathering ore. He only got to see sunlight if it was daytime when the large cart needed to be emptied. The alt more times than not went and picked up the cart anyway. Even then if I did have my main do it he got very little time before I sent him back into the mines. I’d switch to him to spam queue up some mining actions before switching back to my future priest. There were expectations that my future priest would need something.
Thankfully by the time I made the priest alt I already had quite a lot of seeds and had expected out my farm a couple of times over. I did get to the point where the area just had too much slope and I had already tried my best to even out areas enough to allow planting of crops on.
Reflecting on things I did not need to have such a huge farm or even invest leveling up my alts skills in farming. I kind of knew he would only be donating crops at the lower levels. At the higher levels, I'd pick something out.
Perhaps the hardest choice was trying to decide what kind of priest I even wanted. There were a couple of different types that would fit the kind of spells I wanted to cast. I even was considering making multiple alts and just creating a few priest alts. Thankfully I did not go fully insane and go down that rabbit hole of needing to level up prayer and other priest skills to do so.
It was fun at least sometimes to have my alt go pick up the ore from my main. I got to see him in full action. I was also just being too lazy to create another large cart so they both could have one.
Every time it was harvest time down at the farmer I'd need the cart. The idea was to make a wagon at some point and then just let the alt have the large cart. That would however require leveling up my fine carpentry skills further. Which was not even in my top twenty things I wanted to get done for the next couple of days I'd spend in the game.
After a while on the main, I started to start tunneling again in the mine. I needed a decent spot of gold. I would need to make some stuff for my alt to become a follower of a religion and then a priest at some point. That however required gold and the crafting skill naturally for that stuff.
At one point I was not sure if I would end up just sending out my alt to become a priest on his own or if I'd take both the alt and the main with me. As such I decided it could not hurt to at least get some combat levels on him.
I also kind of wanted to do some exploring to see if I was even close to where the gods he needed to speak to were. Thankfully there was an option to toggle on the different beams of light for the two different types of gods in the game. With the white light beams being the ones, I needed to get the alt too.
The alt ended up getting killed a couple of times. It turns out a hellhound even when using a cart for a combat advantage was far too much for him to take down. You could say I was less than thrilled with the long walk to get my corpse and to finish off the hellhound. Thankfully it had not killed my horses.
Along the way, I even found some armor upgrades that I ended up keeping on my alt for quite some time. It was kind of funny in a way. For well over a week the alt had better gear and combat levels than my main. Who was still swinging away a pickaxe in a mine looking for gold then of this screenshot.
Once in a while, I'd make my way back to check in my crops. I’d also offload many of the things I had hunted for my main to butcher up at some point since I had already decently leveled up his skill in that.
This is one of those games where it’s just a blast to go exploring around. I was so thrilled when I found some red dragon armor. While it also comes with a decent weapon, I was not using that type.
These items are already enchanted. The amulet had a no-fine amulet for PvP that I had zero use for. The large maul had some life stolen and damaged. The chest piece had some webbing enchantment to slow down attacks.
Final Thoughts
After a while, it became quite clear I was not going to make it by foot to the alter with the gods my alt needed to speak with. I was now going to need a boat which was going to be quite an undertaking to craft as many of them consist of hundreds to thousands of components. I’d need to cut down an entire forest at that point to be able to make one.

Friend you can see that it is a great challenge, you have already advanced something but there is still much ahead and sometimes it is frustrating to have to farm so much but it is what it takes, as long as you have fun that's what matters.
Thanks.
