I've previously talked about BROsino and how you're able to possibly win Hive from playing various casino games. BROsino isn't really what I'd call a gambling site though as it's more of a Hive faucet as you're not able to buy-in or risk any of your own money (fiat or crypto).
What if you're a risk taker though? What if you really want to gamble and chance winning big (or losing big)? Well that's where Hive-Roller comes in. I've been using it for around a week now and honestly, I've quite enjoyed my time on the site overall.
On it's surface, it's pretty simple. It's a dice game. At the default 2x multiplier, you have a 49.5% chance to win and you get to pick whether you want to roll high or roll low. If you win at a 2x multiplier then you get 2x back what you gambled. If you lose however, you'll lose what you gambled. You can go for higher risk/higher reward multipliers as well if you wish if you're really feeling lucky. You can even go for lower risk/lower reward multipliers as well. The choice is yours.
My favorite feature of the site is it's auto-bet feature. If you're familiar with auto-bet then this will be nothing new for you. It allows you to bet multiple times in a row instead of having to re-click a button everytime you're wanting to roll again. To those familiar with martingale betting strategies, this can come in handy. One thing to note is that at least the last time I used it (yesterday) there was a slight bug with it that should be noted. If you run all your bets and you're using a martingale and go to reroll, you'll need to make sure you reset it before you run it again otherwise if you lost a lot in a row before your bets ran out, it won't automatically reset the new starting bet to your old initial bet. I nearly lost a lot of Hive yesterday because of it, but the sites' owner, Klye, is aware of the issue and working to get it resolved. It's important to note that.
The site also has a chat feature to talk with people on there as well as a faucet where you can claim free Hive every so often if you're out. Roughly every 30 minutes or so, there's a rainbot which will give you free Hive as well even if you're not out of Hive. It's a nice little bonus for just sticking around. Occasionally, you might even get Hive tips from users on there if they win big and are wanting to share the love. Don't expect it, but it is nice when it happens.
Overall, the site is pretty great. It takes a little getting used to but I've spent a good portion of the past 3 or 4 days playing on it. You can minimize your risk by never playing with your own Hive and simply playing with what's given to you for free, but for the hardcore gamblers out there, that probably won't be enough for what they're wanting out of it.
It's still in alpha, but I haven't ran into any major bugs that really dampened the overall experience for me other than the one small bug with the auto-bet. That's easy enough to avoid though by simply hitting the reset button before starting another run with it.
Hive-Roller gets a big thumbs up from me!
Note: It should go without saying, but Hive-Roller is in fact a true gambling site. If you're not careful, it's possible that you could lose all your Hive just as fast as you could win big.
The following isn't financial advice, but just my own personal opinions.
If you never deposit any of your own Hive, you'll never lose any of your own Hive. It's the best way to start out in my personal opinion as it minimizes risk. It'll also get you comfortable with how everything works there. Also, if you win big, don't be dumb and throw it all back in on an all or nothing bet. Don't be afraid to walk away from it if you've made a hefty profit. Some common sense can go a long way. The withdrawl feature on there can be a life saver at times.
As with all gambling sites, make sure that you're 21 years of age or older (or whatever age gambling is allowed where you live) before going on there.

Great write up on the site! Appreciate the kind words and help with letting people know the site exists.
It's still under development, but is a running online alpha.
The site is how I'm working on going broke.
