Last time we met with Master Mirror and became his proxy in fulfilling three wishes of noble called Olgierd. Master Mirror also said that Olgierd was the one who cursed Ofieri prince and turned him to a giant toad. After that we met with Olgierd again and won a legendary duel against an immortal opponent.
In this part we went to Borsodi's auction house. We wanted to fulfil first wish of Olgierd- to get him the house of Maximilian Borsodi. But guards by the entrance stopped us. What is worse one of them started singing. That was horrible. They had orders to only let in those who come with invitation. But then we got unexpected help. Our friend banker dwarf Vivaldi appeared and told guards to get lost and that we are going in with him. Once we came in we told Vivaldi that we have to meet the owner of the auction house. Vivaldi promised to introduce us to the owner during the break of the auction.
But before that Vivaldi introduced us to his three associates. One of them was collector of paintings and tried to test our knowledge about art. We proved that we know paintings and painters. Then He told us that an valuable painting will be sold in the auction. After that we spoke with another Vivaldi's acquaintance who was a famous gwent player. We did not miss this opportunity to play gwent and absolutely smashed him. Before the lose he seemed like a friendly man...but after being beaten he turned out to be a sore loser insulting both us and Vivaldi. Vivaldi's final acquaintance was old and rich countess who was an avid collector of things related to witchers. It was nice to meet a fan of witchers in the world where most people hates and fears us. She asked us to look for her earing. After looking around we confirmed that there is no earing. Then the countess told us the real reason why she wanted to speak with us in private. A long time ago she and our father/mentor figure Vesemir were lovers. But they were forced to end their romance. After that countess started collecting witchers weapons and armor. We told the countess that Vesemir is dead and that he died like a hero.
After that auction started and we bought all three items that were on sale: a statue that is suppose to have a treasure inside it, a valuable painting and glasses of our old enemy the Professor(who we defeated in the first game), Then auction entered a break. And Vivaldi kept his promise and introduced us to auction host Horst Borsodi. Horst proved to be very unpleasant swine. After a short exchange he kicked us out the auction without answering any of our questions. After that two guards came up with very stupid idea- they tried to beat us up. We taught them a simple lesson- you don't want to fight a witcher. Even if he doesn't have his swords. Some Stranger witnessed this fight with the guards. After that he asked us to join his heist of the auction house.
We met with the Stranger again. He explained his heist plan and told us that before the heist we still have to recruit two people to our crew. He mentioned four possible candidates. We picked two of them- a circus acrobat and famous safecracker. We found the safecracker in the cage. He was captured by some mercenary called Hans of Cidaris. We challenged Hans to a fist fight and after we beat him Hans released the safecracker. Then we met the circus acrobat. To recruit her we had to perform - shoot and hit a target. After that we met a cook and gave him a mixture that will foodpoison auction guards. After that we went to see Stranger and the rest of our gang. We managed to sneak into auction house.
