Lord of Arcana is a game published by the Square Enix house known for crafting the Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy sagas. It is a game of the genre Action and RPG; looking to break through the genre created by Capcom's Monster Hunters; however, Lord of Arcana adds its own nuances to it; taking elements from other genres that the Square Enix house knows how to exploit well. Despite not having a large budget Lord of Arcana manages to establish a vision of the genre to which he pays tribute, making it interesting and manages to stand out from other games that are inspired by Monster Hunters.


Lord of Arcana es un juego publicado por la casa Square Enix conocida por elaborar las sagas Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts y Final Fantasy. Es un juego del genero Acción y RPG; que busca abrirse paso en el género creado por Monster Hunters de Capcom; sin embargo, Lord of Arcana le agrega sus propios matices; tomando elementos de otros géneros que la casa Square Enix sabe explotar bien. A pesar de no contar con un gran presupuesto Lord of Arcana logra establecer una visión propia del genero al cual rinde homenaje, haciendo que el mismo sea interesante y logre desmarcarse de otros juegos que se inspiran en Monster Hunters.

Lord of Arcana presents us with a simple plot, the stories take place in a world called Horodin, where our main character must find the arcane stone, which according to legend you can only obtain it by facing a huge number of monsters and beasts; once our enemies are defeated as a reward we will be given the magic and very powerful stone.

Lord of Arcana nos presenta un argumento sencillo, las historias sucede en un mundo llamado Horodin, donde nuestro personaje principal debe encontrar la piedra arcana, la cual según la leyenda solo puedes obtenerla enfrentándote a una enorme cantidad de monstruos y bestias; una vez vencidos nuestros enemigos como recompensa se nos dará la piedra mágica y muy poderosa.

Lord of Arcana is not a game that stands out for its graphic section, the scenarios do not have those refined details of other games from the Square Enix house, the characters do not stand out graphically, although the final battles show a number of effects that give them quite a lot of showiness and show that they are the strong point of the graphic section. It does not take 100% advantage of console performance.


Lord of Arcana no es un juego que destaque por su apartado gráfico, los escenarios no poseen esos detalles refinados de otros juegos de la casa Square Enix, los personajes no destacan gráficamente, aunque las batallas finales muestran una cantidad de efectos que le dan bastante vistosidad y muestran que son el punto fuerte del apartado gráfico. No aprovecha al 100% el rendimiento de la consola.

This is a direct action game with RPG elements, it presents us with a variety in the genre adding Quick Time events where we must press a button in order to make final combos in the style of the Fatality of Mortal Kombat. The dynamics of the game is based on killing monsters to obtain rewards, within which we find materials that help us to make new weapons and shields. Battles in Lord of Arcana are not usually simple, so they require quite a bit of agility in the player's hands.


Este es un juego de acción directa con elementos RPG, nos presenta una variedad en el género agregando eventos Quick Time donde debemos presionar un botón con el fin de realizar combos finales al estilo de los Fatality de Mortal Kombat. La dinámica del juego se basa en matar monstruos para obtener recompensas, dentro de las cuales encontramos materiales que nos sirven para fabricar nuevas armas y escudos. Las batallas en Lord of Arcana no suelen ser simples, por lo cual exigen bastante agilidad en las manos del jugador.

The soundtrack is one of the best, to the confrontations they added contagious melodies and with a frenetic rhythm. Ambient sounds and effects are well cared for and non-invasive while in search mode: Lord of Arcana does not present a cool and dynamic gameplay with a different battle system than Monster Hunters which invites us to always be active and enjoy great battles. Although its point against is not taking advantage of the console this is a game that will give us pleasant surprises and the occasional tantrum.


La banda sonora es una de las mejores, a los enfrentamientos les agregaron melodías contagiosas y con un ritmo frenético. Los sonidos y efectos ambientales están bien cuidados y no son invasivos mientras estamos en el modo de búsqueda: Lord of Arcana no presenta un juego fresco y dinámico con un sistema de batalla diferente a Monster Hunters el cual nos invita a estar siempre activos y a disfrutar de grandes batallas. aunque su punto en contra es no sacar provecho de la consola este es un juego que nos dará gratas sorpresas y una que otra rabieta.
