What's the one thing you can't forgive? Well for me I can forgive anything except "Betrayal". When you stab me in the back, betray the trust I have for you nah I can't forgive that. I am sorry. My principle prompted me to play this game.
When i first saw the graphics of this game it wasn't bad at all, the trees and sunny forest path all aligned together, the environment was peaceful and quite, and the natural breeze making the forest trees dance got me wondering what befall it, When i got deeper into the game i then understand what transpired and how scary it is playing this game,
I got this game from the free gaming section in GOG, it feels good to find them putting an authentic game like this for free, i wanted to see who betrayed who or what lead to the betray. To cut it short, what possible scenario can prompt a person to betray someone? I do know of jealousy and power but I'd love to find out other circumstances that might lead to a betrayal.
The Story
You were sailing from England to join a struggling colony on the coast of Virginia in 1604, rather you find an island filled with ghosts and mysteries, a land that is drained out of color and life, and you keep wondering what happened to the settlers and tribe who lived here.
You might as well turn back and go to England. I mean I would. But you wanted to put the pieces together and find out the doom that befell this settlement, you wanted to set things right. Despite the fact that you will be hunted with ravening shadows and corrupt conquistadors you didn't care at all clue by clue you wanted to trace the brief tragic history of the colony and find out who turned against his own colony and betrayed it, who was the betrayer?
This game sounds like one of those twisted tails old movie were a person betrays his country by leaking out top secret information to another government or anyone with power so as to overthrow the country, there is a word they call it, oh yeah “Treason”
Playing this gave me anxiety and got my adrenaline high, since I've got a puppy heart I was scared not to get a heart attack while playing this game. I am probably debating between bioshock remastered and betrayer which is the scariest.
The color and contrast that can be changed though is one thing unique, if you want it more scary than using the black and white filter should be your thing, i didn't probably last 20 min using this filter cause it was a nightmare. I had to change back to the natural color of the game.
And lets not forget about the weapons and notes that can be picked up while going through the forest path. The sound effect made at every attack using my bow and arrow sounded like a real ghost hunt, which gets me more scared.
Am not really a fan of horror movies or games but if you are please try this one out, the graphics are top notch and the adventure is scary but challenging. For me I probably don't think I'll be playing it often even though I am dying to know who the betrayer was.

This is a weird looking title. Didn't know you would get so invested in the game by just hearing Betrayal, so must hate it a lot. lol

Horror movie games, sounds pretty interesting but scary. Last horror game I tried was "the mummy" damn I was always nervous in playing. Sometimes I try not to watch my screen when getting into trouble
Lolzz am not a fan of horror so i wont check that out. Exactly the same feeling i get when i play horror games
