House Flipper: Easter Edition [Let's Play Games #82]

in Hive Gaming3 years ago

Hello everyone! And Happy Easter! ❤️

I know that for some of you might be a little bit late to say that since many people celebrated Easter the previous weekend, but we are going to celebrate it this Sunday so I thought it's right in time to wish a nice Easter full of blessings, health and light for everyone.

While I split my time between writing for my daily articles here based on different subjects and themes, I also like to think about the beautiful celebration that is coming up because I'll see my family again and I think these are some of the most precious gifts someone can ever receive.

However, since I also dedicate some of my free time to gaming, I also took the chance to renovate another house in House Flipper which came with lots of Easter decorations.

The house purchased

The house I decided to purchase for renovating and then selling further was a pretty little house but which I wanted because it was coming only with the usual dirt and mess that I was meeting in the jobs taken from the inbox section, while when I purchase a new house I usually have to get through a lot of renovations with walls destroyed, furniture burned and so on, without being able to use anything in the new renovations.

But due to the lack of free time lately, I wanted something with intact items that I could keep further and only clean the house and add a few more elements here and there for a quick profit.

First impressions

The house was looking really nice from the outside with a big countyard that made me jealous that I don't have the DLC which would allow me to renovate it as well, but I decided to focus on my today's project by first checking if the outside walls of the house are ok or if they need any renovations.

There were only 2-3 stains but which I cleaned fast and finally opened the main door of the house to see what it looks like on the inside.

BEFORE renovation

The corridor was actually linked with the main room of the house that is measuring 61 square meters which I did renovate both at the same time but instead of sharing a bunch of pictures one after another, I'll just split them into 1. corridor and 2. room.

AFTER renovation

So for the corridor, I quickly got rid of the empty boxes, soda cans and stains that made me think that there was a hell of a party in this house a while ago, but which in the end I decided to keep it simple with just a big mirror on the right, a clock, and a place where to leave the clothes and shoes when entering the house.

I was also thinking about adding a vertical carpet on the ground but I thought it would make everything look too crowded so I gave up on that idea. Still wondering if I did the right pick or not, hmm... 🤔

BEFORE renovation

As for the room, there was a complete mess with a lot more cleaning needed as well as placing some of the things where they should be since there were quite a few weird things on the ground, like the stones which I have no idea how they got there and what they were used for but hey, selling them brought me $18 for each piece, lol!

AFTER renovation

Since it was a pretty big room, I decided to split it between kitchen and living room, keeping the kitchen quite minimalist with the minimum essentials, and a pool table where the future owners of the house can have some fun with their friends.

I kept thinking about whether I should use that space for a pool table or a dining table but considering that everything looked like being used for parties and that people don't really care about where they can eat, I decided to have my renovations on the same line.

AFTER renovation

For the other half of the room, I dedicated the space for work/streaming and movie/gaming nights which in my vision is one of the places that should never be missing from a house.

I loved the large desk with all the professional equipment but equally, I loved the cosy coach with the big TV and the console with controllers and Oculus headset that I found in the workshop for House Flipper.

AFTER renovation

I got both the Oculus headset and the Easter decorations along with some other things used in this project of renovating the house from the House Flipper workshop that has a lot of cool things missing from the game. You can simply have them in the game by pressing the "subscribe" button from each item you want added and the game will update in a few seconds having these on the market.

Personally, I expected to see House Flipper have some sort of official update for Easter since it always brought thematic elements for all the other holidays, but I'm happy that at least I found some decorations on the workshop and managed to turn this house more Easter like.

BEFORE renovation

The next room I took care of was for storing different things and I completely forgot to take a proper 'before' picture of it but this was the least dirty room having just a few stains on the ground and window.

AFTER renovation

I decided to sell one of the garage shelves and place a washer machine instead even if there was enough space for it in the bathroom but I'll explain why I did so a little bit later.

This is a room that perhaps can be turned in a bedroom for a kid or even a sauna, but since I had one more armchair left from the main room, I decided to place it here with a standing lamp that could be used for the reading nights when you are trying to have your little corner of silence.

BEFORE renovation

Cleaning and renovating the bedroom was my favourite part of the house because I loved to see such a big bed and TV along with a bunch of books which made everything look more of what I would like to have myself too.

Of course, before deciding what to pick and what not, I had to do the cleaning part which, happily, passed pretty fast.

AFTER renovation

I was never a fan of the purple and pink things most of the girls love to have in their houses but somehow I loved the mix between the purple bed and the dark walls + the rest of furniture so I decided to keep the bed and even purchase a chair with the same colour.

Along with that, I purchased a few more books to fill the empty spaces, but also because there can never be too many books in a room. 😃

I have no idea what the four screens under the TV were used for so I sold them and placed some speakers instead but also lots of decorative Easter eggs forming the Romania flag with some of them.

BEFORE renovation

And last but not least, there was the bathroom which even though I liked how it was looking seeing just a mirror missing, I thought about selling everything and making it look more modern.

Happily, there wasn't needed too much cleaning either so everything passed pretty fast being able to start the creative part of the job.

AFTER renovation

I know there is both a shower and a bathtub but it's another dream of mine to have them both in a bathroom so I made my dream become real virtually. 😃

As for the rest of the elements, I wanted to have everything with a blue shade so while the sink had that kind of design but there were no hanging shelves in the same theme, I decided to place some furniture bodies that were actually for the kitchen but which matched just great with the sink.

Having both a shower and a bathtub was also the reason why I created a laundry room where I placed the washing machine rather than having it here as well. I just can't explain how much I'd like to have a big bathroom with both a bathtub and shower, lol.

Selling the house

Anyway, time to sell the house and have some quick profit earned!

Unfortunately, we can't talk about a huge profit but considering that I didn't add too many elements in the rooms along with the existing ones, I think the income is pretty fair.

The one who bought the house renovated was Raphael Erko who bought 2 more renovated houses from me in the past but to be honest I didn't focus on getting a specific buyer because I mainly wanted to create this house Easter themed. If only there were more decorations that I could use...
