House Flipper: Kindergarten [Let's Play Games #54]

in Hive Gaming β€’ 3 years ago

Hey, hey! Sup everyone? Everyone had a nice Valentine's Day? If so, I'm sure you are ready for a new job in House Flipper, aren't you?! 🀣

Anyway, while the opinions are always split when it comes to that celebration because it sure isn't that fun for the single ones, House Flipper definitely knows how to keep you busy for a few hours if you feel like staying away from all the love and pinky pictures shared on 14th February, lol.

So today's job comes with a lot of colours and new vibes from anything discovered in this game before, because it's mainly focused on setting up a building which is supposed to turn into a welcoming kindergarten for the little ones, and we all know how picky they can be if there are not lots of colours to bring a smile on their faces, right? πŸ˜ƒ

The email received in the morning from Ms Ariel, turns out that I'm actually talking with a person that used to be a teacher before but who reoriented herself, now talking from the position of being the owner of a kindergarten.

And since I think there is a pretty wide competition on this field almost everywhere, you definitely need to talk with some professionals when it comes to the interior design of a kindergarten. And that's exactly what I'm here for! πŸ’š

First impression

On a first impression, everything looked pretty nice from the outside. I mean, how often do you get to see a green house? At least, this is not something too common for Romania, lol.

Though, as nice as it was looking on the outside, you could get a little spoiler only by watching through the window that sort of gets you ready for a lot of massive cleaning and renovation being needed, so let's not be too optimistic for today's job. πŸ˜„

BEFORE renovation

Even though the building seemed quite small on a first look, this one is very extended in the back, so getting to walk on a pretty long corridor didn't came as a surprise at all.

I already knew that most likely every single door you see in the picture from above needs renovations so instead of starting with these, I decided to begin with the corridor which wouldn't involve too many tasks other than cleaning and painting the walls.

AFTER renovation

As much as I enjoyed painting the walls and adding new floor titles, I still felt like this is not colourful enough as it was indicated in the email received, so I thought about adding some frames and posters on the walls which will create a more welcoming and friendly atmosphere for the little ones.

I also decided to keep the spotlight from the ceiling which I think it gives a cool feeling as well rather than using the boring and common lamps you see in kindergarten or schools. πŸ˜‹

BEFORE renovation

However, as the job was only at the beginning, I decided to encourage myself and open the first door with the room that needs to be renovated, because it was also amongst the smallest one. So it was better to begin this with small steps.

AFTER renovation

As soon as I cleaned the surface and the windows, I sold the garage shelves which were useless on this room and then repaired the electrical outlet.

Since this is supposed to be more of a place where the parents can discuss with the teacher or even get to meet the little ones before starting the kindergarten activity, I decided to keep it as simple as possible.

Though, I couldn't forget that every room is supposed to be very colourful, so I made sure to have that expressed through the walls and also the decorative objects which can be more or less useful. The whiteboards, frames or plants were not a must here but I thought this could work great along the other things to make it look like a complete room. πŸ™‚

BEFORE renovation

The next room used to be an office in the past, so the size is definitely bigger than the previous place we renovated. Though this didn't make an exception to the cleaning that had to be made here because it came with some massive work needed, as well as more objects requested to be bought, but more of that a little bit later.

In order to clean the floor and walls, I had to first see the stains and I was only able to do it if I was selling the old furniture first, so as soon as I did that, I started cleaning everything and then repair the electrical outlets and mount the air conditioner that was not working either.

AFTER renovation

After I finished with that, I painted the walls with lots of colours as it was requested and purchased the whiteboard, furniture and little tables with the chairs for the kids.

None of the toys, colourful stars, posters, or other decorative objects were not required but as I already have a while since I play this game, I knew that some of the requirements are mentioned only in the email, such as having lots of things purchased for the children to play with, so I had no mercy and bought almost everything I found on the market to this end.

BEFORE renovation

The next room I got into, used to be a kitchen before, but that's exactly what it's going to be used as even in the kindergarten.

Even if I haven't changed its use, there was still needed a lot of cleaning to be done and perhaps make it more friendly for the kids even though I don't know how much they are going to use it without being accompanied by an adult or their teacher.

AFTER renovation

As soon as I cleaned the surface I added the new floor and wall tiles but since I enjoyed pretty much the original ones which had a green colour, I decided to keep everything on the same line. This turned out a little bit more mature than planned but it's also a quite narrow room so there wasn't too much space to play with.

Though the green bean bags have no limits when it comes to who can rest on them, so I think both their size and height is accessible for the kids and teachers. And I'm sure the little ones will love these. πŸ˜‰

BEFORE renovation

The next room that was waiting for my arrival looked more of an office so I wanted to keep it on the same line and perhaps make it be used by the director of the kindergarten. Though, there was still needed to work on it and make it more appealing because the colour of the walls was almost gone and there could be also noticed lots of damages into their structure.

AFTER renovation

Since I noticed that both green and orange are the most prevailing colours here, I wanted to have this on the same style and don't seem like being part of a different house.

I also made sure to have the office bookshelf filled with lots of documents, boxes and books so there's nothing missing as soon as the building will start being used by both the teachers and kids.

BEFORE renovation

From here, we stepped into the first bathroom which perhaps is only going to be used by the director of the kindergarten while the little ones will have a different one.

There was no chance to stay away from the cockroaches which were not missing even here, phew! 🐜

AFTER renovation

I'll avoid the unpleasant conversation about how I destroyed the cockroach nest since some of these creatures were hiding under the sink and I had to spend some minutes finding all of them, but hey! At least now everything looks a lot more like a bathroom, right? 😎

Other than the towel radiator there was nothing else required on this room, but I wouldn't be able to see a bathroom without clean towels and a mirror, so here we go! I'm sure Ms Ariel will thank me later, haha.

BEFORE renovation

Similar to the previous office room, there was another one to deal with but which is slightly bigger than that. So I followed the same actions did there, namely to begin by selling the useless objects and then clean the floor, windows and walls.

As soon as I did that, I repaired the faulty electrical items and then painted the walls with no less than 3 colours.

AFTER renovation

As I expect to see lots of kids running in this building, I purchased again two tables and more chairs to be next to these, but also some more toys and playing areas so there are more activities to enjoy in a single day.

The major difference between this room and the other one is the desk with the computer which perhaps will be used for different presentations or even to play cartoons from time to time for the little ones. πŸ˜ƒ

BEFORE renovation

And last but not least, there is the bathroom for the kids I told you about before, which is a lot bigger than the one we already renovated but which comes with only two toilets. I don't know if these are enough if there will be for example 20 kids in the building, but I wasn't able to modify the structure of the building to add some more as I would have liked to do.

AFTER renovation

It's funny that there are only two toilets but three sinks instead, lol, but hey, at least everything turned out quite nicely, colourful and friendly for the little ones, right?

Again, you can see in the "before" picture that there was nothing required to be bought here, but everything would turn out quite incomplete and rough without the mirrors, towels, trash can, and other decorative details that it was my pleasure to add, such as the flower, exit panel or how the toilets should be used because I think it's really important to have the kids educated on what toilet to use from the beginning and not let them get into the wrong one, lol. πŸ˜…

Job done!

A more messy one than what we got through lately, but which turned out very colourful, friendly and welcoming with anyone that will cross the threshold no matter if we are talking about kids, their parents, or even just Ms Ariel.

Honestly, when I get to redecorate buildings, I always prefer the neutral colours or the darker ones because I think it's pretty hard to mix more colours into a room without making it look weird, but I believe I did a pretty good job with the kindergarten and I'm seriously thinking on using more powerful colours in the future tasks. πŸ˜ƒ

What about you though? Do you like how everything turned out? Are there rooms where you would like to see something in plus or minus? I'd really like to hear your thoughts down below, as well as see how other hivers renovated this place if there are any of you playing House Flipper. πŸ˜‡

This looks like a cool game.

It is! I love playing it. Haven't you heard about it so far?

Nah! Just learned about it from your post. I'm still kinda learning about steem as I'm still exploring the hive eco. hehe

I see. Well, it's never too late to learn something new!

I'm also discovering a lot of cool games amongst the other hivers who are posting about them πŸ™‚

How great this game looks, before the place was horror

Yep! Exactly! That's the point. In most of the jobs you have to deal with a horror building that have to be turned into an inhabitable place. But there are also jobs that only need the renovation and no cleaning at all.

Looks like an interesting game to me,
i think i have to find out. 😲
Thanks for sharing!

Haha, I had the exact same thought when I found out about this!
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day! πŸ˜ƒ

Thx, i wish u the same!

Thank you :)

I see a house with that color on the front and immediately think it will be a challenge to fix it up lol 🀣

Hahaha, exactly! Lol.
At least it was cool on the outside, heh πŸ˜
