They still make no sense to me.

You mean the people or the turns? Lol.

Er...both?

We've got a few of those turns here in Adelaide now, they installed the tram line back in (was removed many years ago) and they keep through-traffic flowing whilst right-turners are off on the left out the way. When the through-traffic light goes red, those turners go right and the cross traffic light goes green. It's a bandaid-fix rather than performing costly road works.

Yeah i get it now. It does sorta make sense.

More sense than getting hit by a tram. Lol.

I remember the first time I drove in Melbourne. I was 19 and Faith was 17.5...It was our first holiday together and we'd driven Adelaide to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road. I was petrified of driving in the big smoke and everyone had warned me about those priority-turn intersections. I can still recall the happiness I felt right after navigating one...I felt like Mario Andretti crossing the line first at the Indy 500. Well, maybe not that good...But good.

Yeah i had an experience like that when i was learning to drive. My first time merging onto one of los angeles 8 lane wide highways.
