I put off on getting the game for the longest time. A couple of months ago I saw it was on sale for PS4 and decided to buy a copy ( was able to get a day one edition) since I loved The Witcher series. I went in with zero expectations and was completely blown away. I loved the story, the character development, gameplay, and missions. I find alot of people also complain about Johnny, but those same people are the type to not do the side missions. I big thing I found is that the relationship between V and Johnny is more explored in the side content then the main story.

Ah... similar to me then! Let other people be the testers! The RPG side (loot) is a bit weird, more like Diablo style than I would like.
I wasn't a big fan of it either. I found most of the time you didn't really get unique weapons from bodies, only from either crafting or mission rewards. Wasn't a huge fan either that some Augmentations and that were locked behind certain stats.
The combat is a little strange... I'm still not sure if I should play it more as a run and gun or cover shooter.
When I played it, I went more for a stealth type build, so I often attacked with either a sniper or a shotgun for close combat.
Hmmm... I might try that out. The only sniper rifle I've found so far is way out of my level range. I've found that stealth pistols are a bit weak...
Snipers are a bit tricky to come by. IIRC, once you help Panam with a few things, she gives you a pretty decent one. You could also try your hand at crafting your own!
