Turns hat around and cracks fingers while getting ready to drop some AC Lore...
Alright so the first of AC revelations isn't actually fully explained in the game, but it is in the book!
Ezio more or less takes a break from being an assassin and decides that he wishes to find the original home of the assassin's and Altair's Library ( In Masyaf). These events happen shortly after Brotherhood.
Ezio travels a good distant to get to Masyaf ( he runs into some pirates, is confined to a city etc, all this is prior to the games intro). Once he gets to Masyaf he see's that it is under templar control.
He is later attacked by the Templars, wounded, and is captured when he thinks he see's another assassin in white (Altair).
The Templars know who Ezio is because they're templars and Ezio is the Mentor of the Assassin order. They go to kill him by hanging but before they do he see's a the ghost again taking a leap of faith. Before the noose could be tied Ezio is able to get free and performs a leap of faith.
The image you see is Altair, you are playing as Ezio following Altair's "Ghost". The path the ghost is taking is the exact same path we took in AC1 during the second opening mission!
Oh wow, that's a nice explanation man. Actually I am facing the spoken language issue in the game and that's why it's a bit hard to understand the concept. Once I am done with the actual version of the English language, I will play the game completely.
Btw ezio became old in revelation.
Ezio's actually only around 5 years older from the ending of AC Brotherhood. at the ending of brotherhood he is around 48, in AC Revelations (beginning) he is around 52-53
