I don't think it would have sold any less copies if they had even more revealing outfits, but it could have sold more in some markets.
The PC version probably won't take long for there to be many, many mods - it is an Unreal 5 engine game, after all.
It would have sold more copies because one of the reasons it got so many pre orders was because of Shifts Up promise not to censor the game. Than it was leaked by a few people who got the game early that Shift Up did indeed do that and a bunch of people cancelled their pre orders.
