RE: The Dilemma with Remakes [ESP-ENG]

in Hive Gaming3 years ago

I think you may be getting remakes and remasters a bit confused. Remakes are when older games are recreated from the ground, such as the RE2, and the RE3 remake. Remakes are amazing as they are able to give us the "same" story, all the while being different.

Remasters are games that usually just have graphical enhancments and/or include dlc that was once sold seperataly. For instance, The Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy "Defintive edition" would be considered a remaster not a remake, as the only thing it really does is enhance the graphics of the older games.

Remasters have kind of a mixture of different opinions, some people like them, others hate them. I think that it really doesn't become a problem until you have a company like Bethesda pumping out a "new" version of Skyrim every couple of years.

With that being said. I'm not sure if I would call Pokemon games a remaster or even a remake of other games, rather then the games just pretty much being the same.

I think you are right, of course there are differences and the margins are very short in any case, it's good that they exist ,thanks for reading <3

This is pretty much the comment I came here to make.

Great minds think alike!
