The launch of Payday 3 was nothing short of a cataclysmic failure. Anticipation had been building for years, with fervent fans eagerly awaiting the next installment of the beloved franchise. However, their hopes were crushed when the game hit the market in a bad state. Getting into a game was nearly impossible. A friend and I Played Payday 3 for about 4-5 hours on launch and I use the word "Played" loosely. We sat in menus for an age trying to get a server as the developer decided to go with the forever problematic always online option.
We got to play a little bit until...
This Happened over and over and over and over...
The Community was outraged! "What is going on?" They cried! "40 Dollars for this!"
People were frustrated and rightly so. Many were referring to Payday 3 as the
"40 dollar screen saver" because of how long you spent staring at this screen.
Big boss of Starbreeze (The developer of Payday 3) said in a statement he was "disappointed" in how his company's big new launch had landed and largely pointed the finger at an unnamed third-party matchmaking service for causing the game to fall over.
Okay so once you got into a game was it any good? Yes and no...
Payday 2 is a behemoth of a game with nearly a decade of extra content and DLC's. People knew Payday 3 wouldn't have close to the amount of content as it's predecessor and mostly everyone was fine with that. We just weren't ready for the amount of features removed. Bullet point time!!!
-No Crime.net
-No Melee weapons
-Can't ace most ability's
-Challenge based experience system with terrible challenges
-Lack of weapons
-No safehouse
-No AI toggle or AI customization
-No voice chat
-No pre-planning (and this is a big one for me personally)
The list is actually quite extensive but I'm gonna stop there.
Anyway all that being said it's nice to see a new coat of paint on Payday. The combat is fun and the movement is good. I hope the developer listens to the community and starts implanting changes immediately to save their game because they could turn an okay game into an excellent one. I really hope they can turn it around because I'm a big fan of robbing banks with my friends.

I've seen many complain about no crime.net. For a none payday player, what is crime.net and what makes it a big negative it is not in payday3?
Hey! sorry for the late reply. Crime.net is a feature in Payday 2. It's how you seen what missions were available to you and their difficulty. They were random but there were ways to get a particular mission if you really wanted it.
