Before I start my commentary around the #SIM stats let me tell you that all this information being provided is based on to the best of my knowledge and the stats/numbers/graphs has been picked up from the dCity game stats page. With this post on stats around #SIM, I am trying to convey how much is there in circulation and how much gets burn. Well the burn term here may not be appropriate as #SIM in the game goes back to dcity game various account and then that #SIM circle backs to its users/players in some form of rewards. With that lets get started and check on the first stats which is
SIM POWER
What is SIM POWER?
It is imperative to know about SIM power before we proceed. I did a post around it - dcity :: The Significance of SIM POWER - All You Need to Know about SIM POWER.... check it for more details. But in precise holding aka #hodl SIM in your wallet starts building SIM power and it is calculated from average 30 days SIM holdings. Also a point to note here is that if you have SIM in liquidity pool of swap.hive - SIM that SIM also counts along with any SIM that is placed on market to buy cards. So SIM Power number is not only generated just by holding SIM but rather attributes to other factors as mentioned above. And based on the above graph as on September 18, 2024 there is 970+ Million SIM Power in players hand i.e. in their wallet.
dCitygame holding 96+ Million SIM
We checked on the total SIM Power as of date which is around 970+ Million SIM and now lets have a look at the dcitygame account which is currently holding around 96+ Million #SIM. And just that you know this account of dCity distributes rewards. There are various accounts that belongs to the game which are:: dcitystudents, dcityexperiments, dcityauction, dcityclaim and could be more but the jest is that these accounts transfer #SIM to dcitygame account. And now we can do the math for #SIM Burn...
Total rewards in #SIM
This is the number tied to #SIM circulation at the moment which is around 2.1 Billion.
SIM Power 970+ Million
SIM Burn [dcitygame holdings] 96+ Million
So we round it off we can clearly see that half the supply of #SIM is burnt and that too in a fashion it gets distributed to the players in the form of rewards. Keeping intact the token economics very nicely. Based on my calculation we can clearly see have a decent percentage of #SIM supply that gets burnt in some form or the other. You can check all these yourself on the game portal; where you can look at the stats page and then select::
- SIM -> Rewards
- SIM -> SIM Power
All the data is on chain which is absolutely transparent. There is also other part to it where the purchase of Bag of sim in game asset and all the internal market fees i.e. where buying and selling of the NFT occurs all that SIM goes back to the dcitygame account. That's really a great hidden beauty about this game dcity that is not known to many. I hope this post will give some light to the amazing token economics designed for #SIM.
