I really like your idea! Albeit the idea is kind of vague, but I think that is what gives the power. In short, a game that allows everyone to play their own fantasy game, just like the posts from all of us of our ideal game.
Loving the part where you can pick virtually anything up, reminds me a lot of dead rising or dead island where everything is able to be picked up and modded to kill zombies.
