Guide#12 Resident Evil 4 Remake

The end of Chapter 11 of Resident Evil 4 Remake has meant the farewell of a certain character, at least as far as we know (come on, it's hard for him to have saved his skin after that). But now it seems that we have a bigger threat, who could very well be the gorilla from a James Bond movie. We'll settle accounts with him later. At the end there is an elevator that takes you back to the castle, north of the Ballroom area. Open the gate and activate the two requests next to the peddler: Jewel Thief and Death to the Salazars. Before leaving the area, pick up the Small Key, the last one in the Castle.

We're going to do a cleanup of the castle before moving forward, start by going to the Courtyard and complete Jewel Thief.

Go to the Audience Chamber and open the locked drawer that contains a Gold Bar. Now go to the east end of the Castle, where you couldn't access before because you were thrown through the hole in the floor, to the Throne Room. Be careful because when you reach the Antechamber there are cattle with spider plagues. Try to get them to gather, throw a blinder to kill them all, and then finish off the Ganados. When you reach the Throne Room, complete Death to the Salazars and open Square Lock #05 to get a Golden Chicken Egg.
To continue, what you have to do is take the mechanical cart from the Peddler's area north of the Ballroom.

When you enter the tower you will see a cutscene and you will have to face enemies as you go up. On the ground floor, before you start to go up, you will find the Gold Bar, as well as Mechanical Castellan #12 under the stairs, in the northwest part of the ground floor.

As you go up, be careful with the Salazar statues, because they spit fire. When you see the first one, you must hide behind a column, wait for the fire to pass you by to the right, run to the statue and go up the left staircase.
Now take out the enemy on the left and position yourself under the spiral staircase, so that the flames don't reach you and they can't throw axes at you. What you have to do is look for the dynamite on the statue's ponytail, on the back of its head.

The statue will no longer be a threat and you can just go up eliminating enemies (watch out for the spiked ball, go into the balconies) and collecting an Alexandrite (2). Once up, kill the guy with the lever and drop a few balls to kill your pursuers. Don't forget to collect the drop! Collect the Mirror with Pearls and Rubies, then jump onto the elevator platform. Collect the Extravagant Clock on the west side. Now activate the elevator and quickly locate the guy in the red robe who will appear at the original height of the elevator and kill him, to avoid plagues. The objective for the rest of the journey is to prevent the enemies from jumping onto the platform, because if even one touches the ground, it will stop. There will be red barrels on each balcony (or most of them), marking the point where you can shoot as the next group passes to prevent them from jumping. Once up, go along the only possible path, use the binoculars and eliminate the enemies with crossbows. Now you must carefully advance along the planks: if you run, they will break and you will die. Along the way you can collect another Yellow Diamond, which will be the last treasure in the castle. I have a hell of a rhyme.

You can see the Peddler on the left as you cross the planks. You can buy things from him, collect some resources and then continue to your destination, where you will see a cutscene before facing the boss of the area. You have to shoot when he opens his mouth and Salazar's body comes out of the center, usually to spit.

To do it easily you have to look at the two thick columns on each side of the room, right in the middle of the stairs. The idea is to provoke Salazar into attacking you by standing next to one of them and, when he is about to spit or launch the jet, cover yourself with the column. This gives you time to get out and shoot with whatever weapon you think is most convenient until he falls to the ground and you can put a quarter of steel in his face. When you do enough damage, the acid jet will be followed by the projectile, so don't just go out and shoot. Otherwise, he will try to chase you for melee on rare occasions and, from time to time, he will get on top of you to "bomb" you in an attack that is somewhat difficult to dodge. At the end, when he is almost dead, he will start to launch the jet from the ceiling and move around, so be careful with this. Keep in mind that you can stop his attacks by shooting at the weak point (Salazar's body). When he falls, pick up the Makeup and continue along the only possible path to Chapter 13.

The battle against Salazar in this game is much more annoying compared to the original RE4. I remember when I played this part, he killed me at least ten times. Lol.
