Does anybody still remember Avril Lavigne? Or did I just date myself?
Anyway Xilonen is our new character. As the cringe title suggests she's a skater. She's also a dj I think. She's also probably a jaguar in human form. Natlan is really all over the place when it comes to whatever it's supposed to be based around. As for her in game she's not really that useful. She lowers enemy elemental resistances so it means she improves overall damage. She can also heal if you have a team with multiple elements but it requires her Burst which isn't always going to be ready.
As for the others well Chiori probably has it the worst because she used to be a good alternative to Alhaitham for her teleporting ability because while she reaches the same distance as Alhaitham, her cooldown was lower meaning you could use it again faster than with Alhaitham. However we now have Kinich who can travel a greater distance and has a far lower cooldown. On top of that when you're in Natlan he can use it twice. And he's a Dendro character with tons of explosive personal damage nevermind the powerful reactions Dendro is capable of.
The 4 star characters of this banner though have always been lackluster. Collei was one of the early Dendro characters and didn't really have the ability to apply the Dendro enough to do good damage. She was quickly replaced by Nahida, Alhaitham, Kirara and of course now Kinich. Candace and Dori are probably the lowest tier of their respective elements. Neither can apply their element very well and their personal damage is also fairly low.
Personally this banner is an easy skip in my opinion. Nahida will be coming back in the second half so that's already a much better Dendro offering and along with her is Hu Tao a very powerful Pyro Character. Not only that but with Hu Tao is her signature weapon that can be used with several characters to do impressive damage. Coupled with the fact that Mihoyo recently improved the Weapon Banner system and I'm pretty sure many people will be trying to get that Staff of Homa.
But what about you guys? Are you going for the newcomer Xilonen, the Fashionista Chiori or are you also waiting for the next banner? Or maybe you're waiting for v5.2 and the release of Chasca and Ororon?
