Hello, Pokémon TCG Pocket followers! It’s been an exciting week full of updates about the cards I’ve obtained in the game. Out of the 226 cards in the Formidable Genes set, I now have 195 of them.
Luck has been on my side both with the packs I’ve opened and in the Magic Picks, where I’ve obtained some very important cards to complete my collection and improve my decks.
⚡ Decks featuring Pikachu EX have been dominating this week, and more and more opponents are playing this type of deck. Because of this, I had to set aside my 💧 deck that I talked about in my previous post, as it’s very vulnerable, and build a new, fast deck that’s been delivering excellent results.
In today’s post, I’ll talk about this deck and the strategy I use to quickly take down my enemies. I’ll also share a YouTube video where you can see how easy it is to play with this deck.
Hola seguidores de Pokémon TGC Pocket, ha sido una semana llena de novedades con respecto a las cartas que he conseguido en el juego. De las 226 cartas que componen el set Genes Formidables tengo en mi poder 195 de ellas.
La suerte me ha sonreído tanto en los sobres abiertos como en en las Elecciones Mágicas en donde he conseguido cartas muy importantes para completar la colección y mejorar mis mazos.
Esta semana sigue muy fuerte los mazos ⚡ con Pikachu EX en la cabeza, cada vez son más los oponentes que me juegan este tipo de mazos así que he tenido que guardar mi mazo de 💧 del que os hablé en mi anterior post muy vulnerable y crear un nuevo mazo muy rápido y que me está dando muy buenos resultados.
En el post de hoy voy a hablaros de este mazo y la estrategia que utilizo para destruir a mis enemigo de forma rápida, además os compartiré un video en Youtube donde podréis ver lo sencillo que es jugarlo.
CUBONE & MAROWAK EX

As you all know, EX cards stand out for their incredible power, but we must be cautious because if they are defeated, the opponent gains 2 points instead of 1. That’s why we need to play them very carefully.
Any EX card that can be played with just 2 energy points is a great choice, as the opponent will have little time to prepare for a big hit. Among all of them, Pikachu EX stands out, but there’s another card that is very easy to play and has been giving me great results: Marowak EX.
This card is the evolution of Cubone, and with just 2 energy points, this Fighting-type Pokémon can deal up to 160 damage if luck is on our side. Yes, this card does have a downside — it relies a bit on luck since you’ll flip 2 coins, and for each heads, it deals 80 damage.
Como todos sabéis las cartas EX destacan por su increíble poder, pero debemos llevar cuidado porque si son eliminadas en vez de 1 punto, el rival recibe 2. Es por ello que debemos jugarlas con sumo cuidado.
Cualquier carta EX que pueda ser jugada con 2 puntos de energía es una buena elección ya que el enemigo apenas habrá tenido tiempo de prepararse para recibir una cantidad grande de daño. Es por eso que entre todas ellas, Pikachu EX destaca sobre el resto, pero existe una carta muy fácil de jugar con la que estoy obteniendo muy buenos resultados Marowak EX.
Esta carta es la evolución de Cubone y con tan solo 2 puntos de energía este Pokémon de tipo Lucha puede llegar a hacer 160 puntos de daño si la suerte nos sonríe. Sí, esta carta tiene un punto negativo y es que debemos contar con un poco suerte ya que lanzaremos 2 monedas y por cada cara son 80 puntos de daño los que hará.

On the other hand, we have Machop, a basic card with 70 HP that deals 20 damage with just 1 energy point.
Its next evolution is Machoke, which has 100 HP and deals 50 damage with 2 energy points. And finally, its last evolution is Machamp EX, boasting 180 HP and delivering a powerful 120 damage with 3 energy points.
Por otro lado tenemos a Machop, una carta básica con 70 puntos de HP y que con 1 punto de energía hace 20 puntos de daño.
Su siguiente evolución es Machoke que tiene 100 punto de HP y hará 50 puntos de daño con 2 de energía. Y para terminar, su última evolución es Machamp EX, con la cantidad de 180 HP y golpe de 120 puntos de daño con 3 de energía.

And here is the ultimate deck, featuring the following cards:
- Cubone x2
- Marowak EX x2
- Machop x2
- Machoke x2
- Machamp EX x2
- Potion x2
- X Speed x2
- Poké Ball x2
- Professor's Research x2
- Sabrina x2
Cubone and Marowak EX are weak against Ground, while Machop, Machoke, and Machamp EX are weak against Darkness. This allows us to strategically choose one Pokémon or another depending on whether our opponent uses one of these two elements.
Additionally, Cubone and Marowak EX only cost 1 energy point to be replaced, which is very useful for quickly switching them out for another Pokémon.
For support, we have 2 Potion and 2 X Speed to reduce the energy cost for retreating our Pokémon by 1 point. There are also 2 Poké Ball to ensure we get our basic Pokémon quickly. Finally, we have 2 Professor's Research to draw 2 cards and 2 Sabrina to force the opponent to switch their active Pokémon.
Y aquí tenéis el mazo definitivo, cuenta con las siguientes cartas:
- Cubone x 2
- Marowak EX x2
- Machop x 2
- Machoke x 2
- Machamp EX x2
- Potion x 2
- X Speed x 2
- Poké Ball x 2
- Professor's Research x 2
- Sabrina x 2
Cubone y Marowak EX son débiles contra Tierra y Machop, Machope y Machamp EX contra Oscuridad con lo que podemos jugar con uno u otro Pokémon si nuestro rival juega con uno de estos 2 elementos.
Además Cubone y Marowak EX solo cuestan 1 punto de energía para ser reemplazados, algo muy útil para cambiarlos rápidamente por otro Pokémon.
Disponemos como soporte 2 Potion, 2 X Speed para poder retirar a nuestros Pokémon por 1 punto menos de energía. 2 Poké Ball para asegurarnos de tener nuestros Pokémon básicos rápidamente. Por último 2 Professor's Research para robar 2 cartas y 2 Sabrina para obligar al enemigo a cambiar de Pokémon activo.
As always, I’m sharing a YouTube video where you can watch several matches I play with this deck. In these matches, you’ll see that if we focus on using Marowak EX, we’ll depend heavily on our luck with the coin flips. However, we also have the option of Machamp EX, a powerful Pokémon that takes more time to set up since we need to evolve it twice to unlock its full potential.

Y como sigue siendo habitual, os comparto un vídeo en Youtube donde podéis ver varias partidas que juego con este mazo. En ellas se puede ver que si nos centramos en jugar con Marowak EX dependeremos mucho de la suerte que tengamos en nuestras tiradas. Pero tenemos la opción de Machamp EX, un potente Pokémon que requiere de más tiempo ya que necesitaremos evolucionarlo 2 veces hasta conseguir su máximo poder.

Can you make a post on a good electric deck (Pikachu Ex) deck and its strategy? I love these posts of yours. I have been thinking of learning some good strategies and watch a couple of YouTube videos on some meta deck/s and strategies.
In the next post I will talk about the Mewtwo Ex deck, I have finished getting the cards I was missing.
With the electric decks I am having very bad luck, I have not gotten any good cards yet. Pikachu Ex is resisting me 😭
