The Merdaali Guardians are a noble group committed to protecting all sea life and do not pay much attention to the affairs of people and the land. They are graceful to behold, often adorning themselves with shining jewelry. They prefer pacifism to conflict and are adept at healing and helping others through their connection to magic. However, when the Chaos Legion came to the Splinterlands, they swore to use their magic to protect what they hold most dear.

Hello again fellow Splinterlands players. This week's challenge is to show cards that go together well for the win. If you're a veteran old-school player like me who's played thousands of battles then you'll recognize this group of water Chaos Legion cards and may even be rolling your eyes. If you're a new player looking for a few key cards to help your win rate, then pay attention because these cards are probably the most used by us lazy players looking for the easy win.

The first card in this water lineup of chaos is the Diemonshark. It's an excellent tank with a good mix of life, shields, attack, and speed. It has the trample ability starting at level one meaning it can attack twice if it kills an enemy with the first strike. At MAX level it also has retaliate so it can get in a lot of free hits. At current prices, this guy is only five bucks for a MAX copy. Even if the price were to drop (which I highly doubt), this card would be worth picking up because it's so powerful.

And the second spot card is probably the best reach card in the game, Tide Biter. At level one he's probably not worth writing home about, but once he gets to level 3 he has the very important ability of being immune to blast attacks and thorns. I think he's such a winning card because it gives you a lot of function for only three mana. I'll still use him in high mana battles because at MAX-level he's guaranteed to hit his target with the true strike ability.

Getting sniped is annoying so a good way to avoid that from happening is to have a really fast card in the third slot. One of the most overprinted cards in Splinterlands history is the Pelacore Bandit with almost a million and a half cards in circulation. One thing that I'd like to know about Splinterlands cards is how many MAX copies there are of a certain card. Who cares if there are a ton of level-one cards? I've asked the Discord server several times how to see how many MAX-level copies there are of a card, but no one seems to have any answers. Do you? Pelacore Bandit has a speed of six by himself not to mention any speed boosts the summoner or other cards can give him so there is a good chance he'll dodge any snipe attacks. I love this card simply because it looks cool, not to mention the fact that I was able to level him up to MAX-level for free simply by playing the game and earning reward cards.

And now for the most important card, Merdaali Guardian. She's about fifteen cents per card or fifteen bucks for a MAX-level copy, but either way you absolutely must have her in your deck because she uses up only three mana and heals your other cards. I've had her at level five for a long time because at level five she also repairs armor. To be honest, I haven't noticed much of a difference between a level five and my MAX-level copy, but getting cards to MAX-level is just a fun part of the collection aspect of the game for me.

I lined up this battle just to show these cards even though it may not have been the best thing to do. It didn't matter because I ended up winning without losing a single card just proving my point of what a good team they make. If it's a low mana battle you can keep this same lineup just replace the Diemonshark with something less mana-expensive.

Thanks for reading. I hope you new players found this useful and you old dogs found it entertaining. Have a good one!
