Kulu masterminds are expert strategists and tacticians. They are found in war rooms drawing up operational plans as well as on the battlefield directing consortiums of kulu against their enemies. They are also masters of the martial arts, harnessing the power of their bodies—including their tentacles—in both submerged and surface-based combat.
What's up fellow Splinterlanders? These are exciting times right? Bitcoin is flirting with $100K, the world is on the brink of WWIII, SPS is finally worth a penny again, and we will have a new game mode in Splinterlands. Survival mode looks like fun, but I don't know if I'll dare play because when your cards die, they really die and you can't use them again for a time. This is how I thought the game worked when I first started playing. Actually, I thought that if you lost, your enemy would take all of your cards so I was really sweating it during my first battle, but was then relieved to see them in my inventory still. What do you think about Survival mode? It should have a positive effect on card prices in the long run because it encourages us to have more than one copy of each card and rewards us for using MAX-level cards because they recharge faster after dying. Another good thing about Survival mode is that it doesn't require energy so I'll probably play a few games at the end of the season after getting as far as I can in Modern and Wild.
This week's community engagement challenge is to share one of your favorite battle strategies so I decided to share the rather new strategy of using weapons training. This is a powerful move because you can put one of your weapons trainers in between two non-attack cards giving them both the ability to attack. I was able to win the battle above because three of my cards were magic attacking. Another great technique is to give the whale melee attack weapons training because it has so much life and self-heal so it can be almost unstoppable.
I thought I had all the weapons training cards, but it looks like some new ones have come along, and there's a Legendary Earth splinter card I failed to win in the last batch of reward cards. Kulu Mastermind is the one I see most commonly used on the battlefield because it can pair well with the whale and also has a pretty strong opportunity melee attack, but I would collect one from each splinter if I were you as they are powerful and will surely help you win a lot of battles. Hopefully, I can get all of these cards soon. Which weapons training card is your favorite? Which one has helped you win the most? Thanks for reading about my battle strategy today. Good luck on the battlefield!
