Most browser games were similar in backgrounds, mostly generic storylines and just focusing on gameplay, they were fun but lacked one or two things to make them more meaningful, this one had that weird tower defense similarity + exploration in the first 2 games, and 3rth got a more rogue like approach that is the core source of this modern game we have today, yet I still included the original game links, and with new software, people were able to save and make replayable those games, so it is quite certain that you could play the originals if you wish so, even if it does take a bit of your time away :) I would totally recommend the original saga, even if the third game is currently unplayable (for now), so try them all out, you will like them.
