Belated Happy New Year!๐
After playing Inside, I craved more games alike. I still have Limbo parked in my inventory on Steam but while I scrolled for discounted games, I saw Little Nightmares. I like the graphics and art style more than the latter, haha.๐ Yes, it is one of my checks when I am buying games. I guess because I am into art, that is why. But sometimes simple graphics with not much effort on the art will do as long as the story is something interesting. How do you choose your games? Or do you just go with what is trending? ๐
I planned to play this game on Christmas Eve on the television while my family was busy doing Christmas things. I did so because I wanted to see their reactions. It was a mix of giggles and terror in one game, haha. ๐
The game started with the choice of different characters. I assumed the game has different stories. I chose the boy with a yellow coat. It reminded me of Georgie from IT.
No story background or dialogue. It was dark LITERALLY!
I had to adjust my settings on the game and on the television itself. Itโs got ominous BGC, which is weird for Christmas Eve (which was supposed to be jolly tunes, haha) ๐
Some parts were really hard to figure out at thinking of passing the controller to a smarter person in the room, haha! ๐ค BUT NOPE! I WANT TO ROI the game! Hahaha!
Do you sometimes feel like cheating in the game but then think of how much you spent money on it? ๐
So the goal of the game is simple. Just find the way to the next room. There were small quests, like lighting a lamp and hugging a figurine (I did not know this until the game was over). It did not impact the whole game but for me, it was quite a big miss.
I was terrified the first time I encountered the monsters. It felt claustrophobic. They cannot see but can smell and hear. I had to walk on carpets and crouch to minimize the noise, and also to hide in dark corners where his long arms could not reach me. The added vibration on the controller made me more panicking.
I got to the kitchen and dining room and this was the hardest part for me! It took me about 1/4 of my game hour. It was nice to look around the details while I waited under the table.
The ending was unaliving the lady boss of the library. The challenge for me was looking around triggers in dark aisles. The lady boss was super sensitive too in any noise which was why I had to crouch super slow.
It was a nice game, though I think it was the wrong timing for a happy holiday haha, But hey, my viewers in the back were giggling and stuck to the screen. It was indeed a nice filler for the holiday.
I finished the game in about 5 hours in a split of days. Of course, some of the time was fillers and some parts were really hard to figure out. ๐
I am now completing the other character's story. ๐ Hey, any recommendations for games like Inside and Little Nightmares are welcome! I am more of cozy games for now, haha.
Thanks for reading! ๐ฅฐ
