Hace ya varios meses atrás compramos en familia una Wii, quizás lo notaron con varios de mis post, una consola usada pero en buenas condiciones y con una buena cantidad de juegos que he estado compartiendo con ustedes en esta comunidad, sin embargo, al comprar consolas o cualquier otro objeto de segunda mano tiene algunos riesgos, todo funcionaba bien hasta que decidí probar este videojuego de la saga de Tony Hawk.
Desde niño los videojuegos de Tony Hawk's me agradaban, me encantaba andar en patineta, por supuesto desde la seguridad de mi casa sentado frente al televisor, me gustaba este juego a pesar de que nunca he practicado este deporte, al ser muy torpe quizás al intentar montarme en una patineta en mi niñez volvería a casa sin algún diente, por eso lo prefiero en videojuegos y desde antes de tener en mi casa una PS1 jugaba en los establecimientos que alquilaban las consolas. Hace ya algún tiempo escribí al respecto de ese primer videojuego que tanto jugué de niño con mis amigos, era un juego que parecía obligatorio para quien tuviera una PS1.
Al ser una saga de videojuegos especial siempre me causa curiosidad estos juegos sobre patineta, por supuesto estaba emocionado de introducir el CD a la consola y jugar como en los viejos tiempos pero con un juego mas actualizado (a pesar de que ya tenía bastante tiempo desde su lanzamiento).
Este es un videojuego lanzado en el 2006, tiene ya muchos años desde su lanzamiento, quizás es uno de los mas longevos que tenemos para nuestro Wii, sin embargo, yo no había tenido la oportunidad de jugar esta versión anteriormente así que inicie desde cero esta nueva experiencia que hoy quiero compartir.
Análisis del Videojuego
Gráficos
Siempre comienzo con este aspecto debido a que es lo primero que resalta en un videojuego que recién estamos probando, bien sea de última generación o como en este casi ya con 15 años desde su lanzamiento, esa característica en cuanto al año de desarrollo puede indicarnos que para la época este videojuego poseía una muy buena calidad gráfica, de hecho, me ha agradado mas el entorno grafico de este videojuego que otros en la misma Wii a pesar de tener más años.
La visualización es de calidad y es bastante agradable para el jugador, creo que es uno de sus aspectos más relevantes. Me agrada el diseño de los personajes incluso sobre el diseño de los escenarios, no digo que sean de baja calidad pero si que evidentemente concentran un mayor trabajo en el diseño y animación de los personajes. Este aspecto hace que sea agradable jugar esta versión de Tony Hawk`s incluso en pleno 2021, siento que puede regalarnos buenos momentos de entretenimiento y los gráficos seguramente no decepcionarán.
Banda Sonora
Normalmente la banda sonora en algunos casos puede pasar desapercibida, sin embargo, en este videojuego seguramente no será el caso. La música con ritmo vertiginoso hace que la adrenalina fluya al jugar. Es algo que en lo particular me fascina juegos con ritmo rápidos deben ir complementados con una banda sonora emocionante, esto sin dudas mejora la experiencia en el videojuego y este es el caso. Muy buen ritmo nos entrega este videojuego y que es algo típico de los videojuegos de esta saga, buena música, rápida y emocionante para mejorar la experiencia y la competitividad en las carreras.
jugabilidad
Al principio del videojuego abriremos un tutorial para comenzar a patinar, pero siempre con la consola Wii no se sabe que esperar cuando comenzamos a probar un videojuego, la verdad no me adapte los suficientemente rápido en el tutorial como quería, sin embargo, pude controlar bien el personaje, una característica que noté inmediatamente es que el personaje puede golpear o lanzar patadas a otros patinadores o incluso peatones que se encuentren en la pista, algo que le agrega bastante emoción a una carrera por tramo o puntaje. Saltar y hacer piruetas es relativamente fácil, al menos las básicas que logré realizar para avanzar en el tutorial.
Modo de Juego
Siempre en este tipo de videojuegos tendremos la posibilidad de jugar solo un jugador o con otros jugadores, además, añadiendo la posibilidad de jugar un modo historia o campaña para desbloquear los otros personajes y patinetas, sin embargo, podemos clasificar en dos modos de juego básicos.
Carrera
La verdad no me esperaba este modo de juego, recuerdo que anteriormente al menos en la PS1 era una competencia de puntaje, sin embargo, en este videojuego podemos patinar para llegar a la meta tal como un videojuegos de autos. Patinamos y quizás podamos tomar un atajo o hacer piruetas sobre edificios que nos otorguen algunos segundos de ventaja. Podemos competir contra otros jugadores controlados por la computadora o humano y también podemos observar el tipo de carrera sobre los puntos de control donde debemos alcanzar objetivos cortos en cuestión de segundos ganando un poco más de tiempo.
Puntaje por Piruetas
Sin dudas este es el modo de juego más atractivo para este videojuego que emula los clásicos videojuegos de esta franquicia. No me molesta realizar carreras en la patineta, pero pienso que para las carreras tenemos otro tipo de videojuegos como los de automóviles, luego de algunas carreras quise probar con las piruetas y recordar los viejos tiempos, pero el destino no lo quiso así.
El CD está muy dañado para que sirva bien ese modo de juego, es decir, que todo el videojuego corre a la perfección, desde el tutorial y todas las carreras en patineta, sin embargo, al seleccionar el otro modo de juego simplemente se queda trancada la consola y a los segundos aparece en una pantalla roja un mensaje de daño en el disco. Por supuesto intenté muchas veces sacando el CD limpiándolo y volviendo a reiniciar la Wii, sin embargo, no obtuve un resultado positivo.
Luego de varios intentos de desesperación la decepción por no jugar este modo de juego clásico de esta franquicia de videojuegos llegó a mi mente, pensé en arrojar el CD por la ventana ya que le falta la principal característica desde mi punto de vista.
Riesgo / Ganancia
Asì como en la vida también es en los videojuegos, a veces se gana y otras veces se pierde, lo importante es la aptitud (dicho esto olviden lo arrojar el CD por la ventana), a pesar de haber comprado una Wii con varios videojuegos entretenidos y bastante conocidos ya usados anteriormente es un riesgo latente para el comprador, sin embargo, este es el único de esos videojuegos que ha presentado problemas, tanto la consola como otros videojuegos de la colección funcionan perfectamente y nos regalan momentos de diversión, así que es ganancia desde otro punto de vista.
Hay viejos trucos de limpieza que puedo realizar para volver a la vida esa parte del CD, quizás este fue uno de los videojuegos favoritos del dueño anterior y por eso esta deteriorado, no lo culpo, siempre los videojuegos de esta saga son llamativos y de buena calidad.
Aun me faltan algunos videojuegos por probar, espero no tener la misma suerte, sin embargo, ya la mayoría funciona y estoy tranquilo, al menos los mas importantes para mi función a la perfección.

Since I was a kid I liked Tony Hawk's video games, I loved to ride a skateboard, of course from the safety of my house sitting in front of the TV, I liked this game even though I have never practiced this sport, being very clumsy maybe trying to ride a skateboard in my childhood I would return home without any teeth, so I prefer it in video games and since before I had a PS1 in my house I played in establishments that rented consoles. Some time ago I wrote about that first video game that I played so much as a child with my friends, it was a game that seemed mandatory for anyone who had a PS1.
Being a special video game saga I was always curious about these games on skateboard, of course I was excited to introduce the CD to the console and play like in the old days but with a more updated game (even though it was already quite some time since its release).
This is a video game released in 2006, has already many years since its release, perhaps one of the most long-lived we have for our Wii, however, I had not had the opportunity to play this version previously so I started from scratch this new experience that today I want to share.
Video Game Analysis
Graphics
I always start with this aspect because it is the first thing that stands out in a game that we are just trying, either last generation or as in this almost 15 years since its release, that feature in terms of the year of development may indicate that for the time this game had a very good quality graphics, in fact, I liked more the graphical environment of this game than others in the same Wii despite having more years.
The visualization is of quality and is quite pleasant for the player, I think it is one of its most relevant aspects. I like the design of the characters even over the design of the scenarios, I do not say that they are of low quality but obviously concentrate more work on the design and animation of the characters. This aspect makes it nice to play this version of Tony Hawk`s even in the middle of 2021, I feel that it can give us good moments of entertainment and the graphics surely will not disappoint.
Soundtrack
Normally the soundtrack in some cases can go unnoticed, however, in this video game this will certainly not be the case. The music with a vertiginous rhythm makes the adrenaline flow while playing. It is something that particularly fascinates me, games with fast pace should be complemented with an exciting soundtrack, this undoubtedly enhances the experience in the game and this is the case. Very good rhythm gives us this game and that is typical of the games of this saga, good music, fast and exciting to enhance the experience and competitiveness in racing.

At the beginning of the video game we will open a tutorial to start skating, but always with the Wii console you don't know what to expect when you start trying a video game, the truth is that I didn't adapt quickly enough in the tutorial as I wanted, however, I could control the character well, a feature that I noticed immediately is that the character can hit or kick other skaters or even pedestrians who are on the track, something that adds a lot of excitement to a race by section or score. Jumping and pirouettes are relatively easy, at least the basic ones I managed to perform to progress through the tutorial.
Game Mode
Always in this type of video games we will have the possibility of playing alone a player or with other players, in addition, adding the possibility of playing a story mode or campaign to unlock the other characters and skateboards, however, we can classify in two basic game modes.
Race
I really did not expect this game mode, I remember that previously at least in the PS1 it was a scoring competition, however, in this video game we can skate to reach the finish line just like a car video game. We skate and maybe we can take a shortcut or do flips over buildings to give us a few seconds advantage. We can compete against other computer or human controlled players and we can also watch the type of race over checkpoints where we must reach short objectives in a matter of seconds gaining a little more time.
Score by Pirouettes
Undoubtedly this is the most attractive game mode for this video game that emulates the classic video games of this franchise. I don't mind racing on the skateboard, but I think that for racing we have other types of video games like car games, after a few races I wanted to try pirouettes and remember the old times, but fate did not want it that way.
The CD is too damaged to serve well that game mode, ie, the whole game runs perfectly, from the tutorial and all races on skateboard, however, when selecting the other game mode simply locks the console and seconds later appears on a red screen a message of damage to the disk. Of course I tried many times removing the CD cleaning it and restarting the Wii again, however, I did not get a positive result.
After several desperate attempts the disappointment of not playing this classic game mode of this video game franchise came to my mind, I thought of throwing the CD out the window as it lacks the main feature from my point of view.

As in life so it is in video games, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, the important thing is fitness (that said forget about throwing the CD out the window), despite having bought a Wii with several entertaining and well known video games already used previously is a latent risk for the buyer, however, this is the only one of those video games that has presented problems, both the console and other video games in the collection work perfectly and give us moments of fun, so it is gain from another point of view.
There are old cleaning tricks I can perform to bring that part of the CD back to life, maybe this was one of the previous owner's favorite video games and that's why it's deteriorated, I don't blame him, always the video games of this saga are flashy and of good quality.
I still have some video games to test, I hope not to have the same luck, however, most of them work and I'm calm, at least the most important for my function perfectly.
