¿Alguna vez han tenido tanta publicidad sobre un videojuego para su teléfono que terminan por descargarlo tarde o temprano? Esto es lo que me ha ocurrido, pensar: ¿Qué puede tener este juego para invertir tanto en publicidad? Teniendo en cuenta que se desarrolla sobre mi categoría preferida que es la estrategia y gestión, por lo que decidí descargar este juego y ahora escribiré mis opiniones al respecto.
Whiteout Survival es un videojuego en tiempo real de estrategia y gestión, los que amamos esta categoría sabemos que existen infinidades de videojuegos parecidos, incluso con la misma mecánica de juego, por lo que los desarrolladores deben competir en añadir funciones nuevas y sobresalientes para enganchar a los jugadores, desde mi opinión la publicidad no es suficiente y las empresas se dedican a mejorar la experiencia del jugador para mantenerlos en el juego el mayor tiempo posible.
Este es un juego con una jugabilidad muy parecida a muchos videojuegos gratuitos en la playstore, sin embargo, tiene algunas funciones y características interesantes y decidí darle una oportunidad.
¿Qué tiene de nuevo este juego?
Aspecto visual:
El contexto del juego se basa en una sociedad que podemos llamar distópica en un mundo de nieve, con pocas oportunidades de sobrevivir, debes encontrar la manera no solo de mantener con vida la población creciente, también de tener tropas y la fuerza necesaria para un mundo de batallas con otros jugadores por los recursos. Tan solo ese contexto hace que el juego sea interesante, sin embargo, desde el aspecto visual, el diseño y la animación son uno de los factores más importantes de Whiteout Survival.
Diseño del Mundo y Personajes
En el mercado, existen juegos con una animación que particularmente me molesta, aquellos juegos de estrategia que simplemente se enfocan en la mecánica del juego sin prestar atención al diseño, por lo que como usuario, he descartado videojuegos tan solo por el hecho de no tener una buena conexión desde un punto de vista visual.
Whiteout Survival nos presenta un escenario amigable, visualmente interesante complementado con animaciones que funcionan para nuestros ojos, desde el primer momento en que se cuenta una historia de introducción, notamos esa calidad y dedicación al aspecto visual, que hace que no sea un juego pesado para nuestros ojos para mantener nuestra atención en él.
Funciones Nuevas en Un juego de Estrategia
Uno de los aspectos llamativos de Whiteout Survival es que es de supervivencia, por lo que miembros de la colonia simplemente puede enfermar y morir a causa del clima. El juego divide el día y la noche, pero además de eso añade tormentas de nieve que hacen que el frío suba de intensidad y haga estragos en la salud de la colonia.
El humor de los colonos también es un factor a tener en cuenta, ellos no son esclavos que se dedican a extraer recursos para nuestro imperio, son trabajadores los cuales hay que alimentar y ofrecer cabañas de descanso cada vez mejores para su confort.
Esta característica es una buena función dentro de la mecánica del juego, le otorga algo de realismo y lógica; después de todo, es un mundo distópico y no somos emperadores sino gobernadores. Incluso existe un buzón de recomendaciones, en donde los miembros de la colonia pueden hablar bien de ti o quejarse por sus condiciones de trabajo, o bien por las goteras del techo de su cabaña. Todo esto es un punto a favor de Whiteout Survival que añade a la estrategia el bienestar de la colonia.
Tan importante es el bienestar que decidimos la cantidad de comida y de calor que le proveemos a estas personas, además, es necesario construir un hospital para atender a los enfermos, darles días de descanso y aumentar su ración de comida.
En la casa del gobernador tenemos la posibilidad de hacer días festivos no laborables, aumentar las horas de trabajo e incluso tener un día especial para atender médicamente a los miembros de la colonia, lo que me parece importante.
Respeto:
Todo lo mencionado anteriormente influye en el respeto. Hasta ahora no sé qué sucede con un bajo respeto, quizás los colonos terminen realizando un golpe de Estado, pero por ahora mi colonia está contenta.
Extracción de Recursos
Conseguir recursos es muy fácil, solamente se debe construir los edificios y colocar trabajadores en los puestos que requiera, al aumentar el nivel se consigue ampliar el número de trabajadores, teniendo en cuenta que hay que mejorar las herramientas y otros aspectos del ambiente de trabajo de los miembros de la colonia (no son esclavos).
Héroes:
Así como otros juegos de esta categoría, podemos contar con el apoyo de héroes que se convertirán en exploradores para conseguir cofres de recompensas, bajo la mecánica de batalla automática, solamente decidiremos (estratégicamente) a posición del héroe y sus tropas. Al conseguir recompensas podremos subir el nivel del héroe.
Punto Negativo: Por Ahora es un juego Muy Fácil
A penas estoy comenzando con la experiencia en este juego, al menos las primeras etapas de Whiteout Survival son muy fáciles de superar, no existe mucha necesidad en la colonia si tenemos en cuenta los aspectos correctos y además nadie ha venido a saquearme, por lo que me parece un juego muy fácil que al pasar el tiempo se torna aburrido, por lo que voy a seguir jugando, pero muy probablemente lo termine por borrar debido a que es muy predecible y algo fácil.
Tiene un contexto interesante y un aspecto visual que puede enganchar a los jugadores, además de añadir funciones interesantes, sin embargo, a este punto no estoy totalmente convencido de este juego, aunque le he dado una oportunidad para que me impresione.

This is what happened to me, thinking: What can this game have to invest so much in advertising? Considering that it is developed on my favourite category which is strategy and management, so I decided to download this game and now I will write my opinions about it.
Whiteout Survival is a real-time strategy and management video game, those of us who love this category know that there are infinite similar video games, even with the same game mechanics, so developers must compete in adding new and outstanding features to hook players, in my opinion advertising is not enough and companies are dedicated to improve the player experience to keep them in the game as long as possible.
This is a game with gameplay very similar to many free video games on the playstore, however, it has some interesting functions and features and I decided to give it a try.
What's new about this game?
Visuals:
The context of the game is based on a society that we can call dystopian in a world of snow, with few chances to survive, you must find a way not only to keep the growing population alive, but also to have troops and the necessary strength for a world of battles with other players for resources. That context alone makes the game interesting, however, from a visual aspect, the design and animation are one of the most important factors in Whiteout Survival.
World and Character Design
In the market, there are games with an animation that particularly bothers me, those strategy games that simply focus on the mechanics of the game without paying attention to the design, so as a user, I have discarded games just for the fact of not having a good connection from a visual point of view.
Whiteout Survival presents us with a friendly, visually interesting setting complemented by animations that work for our eyes, from the first moment an introductory story is told, we notice that quality and dedication to the visual aspect, which makes it not a heavy game for our eyes to keep our attention on it.
New Features in A Strategy Game
One of the striking aspects of Whiteout Survival is that it is a survival game, so members of the colony can simply get sick and die because of the weather. The game divides day and night, but also adds snowstorms that cause the cold to increase in intensity and wreak havoc on the colony's health.
The mood of the colonists is also a factor to take into account, they are not slaves to extract resources for our empire, they are workers to be fed and provided with better and better resting huts for their comfort.
This feature is a nice feature within the game mechanics, it gives it some realism and logic; after all, it is a dystopian world and we are not emperors but governors. There is even a recommendation box, where members of the colony can put in a good word for you or complain about their working conditions or the leaking roof of their hut. All of this is a plus point for Whiteout Survival that adds to the strategy of colony welfare.
Welfare is so important that we decide how much food and warmth we provide for these people, and it is necessary to build a hospital to care for the sick, give them rest days and increase their food ration.
In the governor's house we have the possibility to make non-working holidays, increase the working hours and even have a special day for medical care for the colony members, which I think is important.
Respect:
Everything mentioned above influences respect. So far I don't know what happens with low respect, maybe the settlers will end up staging a coup, but for now my colony is happy.
Resource Extraction
Getting resources is very easy, you just need to build the buildings and place workers in the required positions, by increasing the level you get to expand the number of workers, taking into account that you have to improve the tools and other aspects of the working environment of the members of the colony (they are not slaves).
Heroes:
As well as other games in this category, we can count on the support of heroes who will become scouts to get reward chests, under the automatic battle mechanic, we will only decide (strategically) the position of the hero and his troops. By gaining rewards we can level up the hero.
Negative Point: For now it is a very easy game.
I'm just starting with the experience in this game, at least the first stages of Whiteout Survival are very easy to overcome, there is not much need in the colony if we take into account the right aspects and also nobody has come to loot me, so it seems to me a very easy game that over time becomes boring, so I'll keep playing, but most likely I'll end up deleting it because it is very predictable and somewhat easy.
It has an interesting context and a visual aspect that can hook players, as well as adding interesting features, however, at this point I'm not totally sold on this game, although I've given it a chance to impress me.

The game looks very fun, there are few I've seen of the genre, even if I don't have time to play on the phone, I can have them there to try them when I have to make a trip.

Estoy conociendo este juego a través de ti, me parece muy interesante ya que no es un juego que practique la agresividad, si no que es un construir social, eso me agrada mucho, pero me imagino que debe tornarse aburrido por un momento al no tener situaciones adversas. Me gustó mucho eso que mencionaste de los trabajadores, que puedan realizar chistes o colocar quejas me parece agradable, espero que puedas conseguir un juego que llene tus expectativas.
