Hoy tocando el tema de nuevo sobre Pokémon Pokect TCG monstrándoles cómo va mi colección hasta el momento, hablando un poco más el tema del juego en general y una opinión basada en lo que he aprendido de la Web3 y en Hive 😉.

En un post pasado ya había hecho una review del juego en general sin profundizar tanto. En esta oportunidad más que una reseña es una opinión sobre algo que me llamo la atención y tema que da para debate, vamos allá!!
In a previous post I had already done a general review of the game without going into much depth. This time, more than a review, it's an opinion on something that caught my attention and a topic that is up for debate, let's go!!
Por si no saben de qué va el juego o no vieron mi otro post haré una introducción corta, el juego trata de abrir sobres diariamente para conseguir cartas para coleccionar y si te apetece tener duelos con otros usuarios o con tus amigos 😁. Y te preguntarás ¿Es todo? ¿Ya? Bueno es uno de los juegos más jugado actualmente y aparte uno de los que más ingreso generó a finales del 2024 y se proyecta este 2025 a seguir generando grandes ingresos. Y bueno, si, eso es todo, pero bueno hablamos de Pokémon una de las más grandes franquicias en el mundo Geek, aparte de tener un antecesor de igual éxito como lo es el juego de Pokémon TCG en formato físico, que es casi lo mismo con la diferencia que no tienes que cargar energía para abrir sobres 😂 y que algunas cartas pueden tener un valor monetario alto haciendo que sea un hobby muy rentable, algo que su contra parte virtual no tiene.
If you don't know what the game is about or didn't see my other post, I'll give a short introduction, the game is about opening daily envelopes to get collectible cards and if you feel like having duels with other users or with your friends 😁. And you might wonder, Is that all? Already? Well, it is currently one of the most played games and also one of the ones that generated the most income at the end of 2024, and it is projected to continue generating great income in 2025. And well, yes, that's all, but well, we are talking about Pokémon, one of the biggest franchises in the Geek world, apart from having a predecessor of equal success such as the Pokémon TCG game in physical format, which is almost the same with the difference that you don't have to charge energy to open packs 😂 and that some cards can have a high monetary value making it a very profitable hobby, something that its virtual counterpart does not have.
¿Por qué la gente gastaría en el juego virtual? Bueno al igual que el formato físico las cartas del TCG Pocket también tienen un sistema de rareza, el cual determina el porcentaje de aparición según su rareza. Tanto en los dos formatos las cartas raras se identifican mucho por su arte, que se distinguen de una carta normal (abajo dejaré ejemplos) desde los colores hasta un diseño muy alternativo, como también pueden ser los ataques y habilidades, haciéndolas muy codiciadas entre los jugadores ya sea para alardear a tus amigos o la comunidad de tu colección privada, para lo cual el TCG Pocket tiene un apartado de vitrina donde puedes exhibirlas o también tener las mejores cartas para duelos y derrochar estilo con el arte de éstas ¿Por qué no? 😂.
Why would people spend on virtual gambling? Well, just like the physical format, TCG Pocket cards also have a rarity system, which determines the percentage of appearance according to their rarity. In both formats, rare cards are much identified by their artwork, which distinguish them from a normal card (below I will leave examples) from the colors to a very alternative design, as well as their attacks and abilities, making them highly coveted among players, either to show off to your friends or the community of your private collection, for which TCG Pocket has a display case section where you can exhibit them or also have the best cards for duels and flaunt style with their artwork. Why not? 😂.

Eso es lo que le ha dado tanta rentabilidad a este juego y vaya que si, ya que en su primer mes generó 200 millones de dólares 👀 y dándose a conocer casos como el de un jugador de nacionalidad China que con más de 3500$ y un poco de suerte 🤭 logró completar toda la colección de cartas con todas las rarezas de las 2 expansiones que hay por el momento...
That's what has made this game so profitable, and indeed it is, as in its first month it generated 200 million dollars 👀, with cases like that of a Chinese player who with over 3500$ and a little luck 🤭 managed to complete the entire card collection with all the rarities from the 2 expansions currently available...
¿A dónde voy con todo esto? Pues todo este tema de lo monetario en TCG Pocket me llama mucho la atención en distintos puntos. Si bien no es tan rentable para los usuarios como su contraparte física, igual ha generado grandes ganancias a la compañía y ¿Cuál es el problema? Ninguno en realidad, yo apoyo el derecho que las personas gasten su dinero lícito como mejor les plazca pero ¿Y si fuera rentable para los usuarios? Las cartas poseen rarezas extremas como en el apartado físico, lo cual podría darle valor a estas cartas pero... El juego actualmente no cuenta con sistema de intercambios, ya anunciaron que lo implementarán a futuro, entonces ¿se podrá sacar algún provecho monetario cuando esa actualización llegue? Y la respuesta es no 😬, el sistema de intercambio llegará con ciertas restricciones que no se saben aún, aparte ya la empresa dejo clara que transacciones monetarias entre usuarios por cartas raras derivará en una suspención de las cuentas implicadas 🤨. Por otro lado algunos jugadores han tenido la suerte de generar algo de ingresos al participar en torneos no oficiales y ganar algún premio monetario pero la verdad es que estos torneos no abundan como tal.
Where am I going with all this? Well, this whole monetary aspect in TCG Pocket catches my attention in different ways. While it may not be as profitable for users as its physical counterpart, it still has generated significant profits for the company and What's the problem? None really, I support the right of people to spend their legitimate money as they see fit but What if it were profitable for users? The cards have extreme rarities like in the physical section, which could give value to these cards but... The game currently does not have a trading system, they have announced that they will implement it in the future, so will it be possible to profit monetarily when that update arrives? And the answer is no 😬, the trading system will come with certain restrictions that are not yet known. Furthermore, the company has already made it clear that monetary transactions between users for rare cards will result in a suspension of the accounts involved 🤨. On the other hand, some players have been lucky enough to generate some income by participating in unofficial tournaments and winning some monetary prize, but the truth is that these tournaments are not abundant as such.
Aún así el juego sigue generando y mi pregunta es ¿Sería igual si el juego estuviera basado en una tecnología blockchain? Un ejemplo lo tenemos aquí en @Hive que es @Splinterlands un juego con una dinámica parecida y en una blockchain. Así que en mi opinión, si podría tener éxito y generar grandes ingresos, tanto a usuarios como a la empresa pero el tema es algo delicado.
However, the game continues to generate and my question is, would it be the same if the game were based on blockchain technology? An example we have here on @Hive is @Splinterlands, a game with a similar dynamic and on a blockchain. So in my opinion, it could be successful and generate significant revenue, both for users and the company, but the issue is somewhat delicate.
Tanto Nintendo como GameFreak tienen todas las herramientas y la logística para hacer que este fuera un juego NFT exitoso, sumando el nombre de una gran franquicia que siempre arrasa donde coloquen un producto nuevo ¿El pero? El tema de los juegos NFT en la comunidad gaming es algo delicado por decirlo de alguna manera; si de por sí el tema del abuso de micropagos en los vídeo juegos, por parte de algunas compañías famosas ya es un tema de debate y de guerra con las empresas desarrolladoras, el tema de NFT y Crypto no se queda tan atrás, aún así se mantiene sobre la mesa ya que se tiene claro que es el futuro. Ubisoft es una de esas desarrolladoras que quiere dar un paso adelante y tiene un proyecto de un juego NFT de tipo RPG Triple A que se piensa puede salir pronto, pero siendo sinceros más que ayudar podría crear más FUD entorno a esto 😂 ya que la empresa es una de las más criticadas actualmente por juegos con errores, abuso de micro transacciones y otras polémicas, igual puedo hacer un post si les interesa.
Both Nintendo and GameFreak have all the tools and logistics to make this a successful NFT game, adding the name of a great franchise that always excels wherever they place a new product. The catch? The issue of NFT games in the gaming community is a delicate matter, to say the least; if the issue of microtransactions abuse in video games, by some famous companies, is already a topic of debate and warfare with the developers, the issue of NFTs and Crypto is not far behind, yet it remains on the table since it is clear that it is the future. Ubisoft is one of those developers that wants to take a step forward and has a project for an NFT Triple A RPG game that is thought to be released soon, but to be honest more than helping it could create more FUD around this 😂 since the company is one of the most criticized currently for games with bugs, abuse of microtransactions, and other controversies, I can still make a post if you are interested.
En conclusión, hay potencial para crear juegos NFT con grandes franquicias pero estamos aún en la etapa del FUD tanto con las cryptomonedas como con los NFT. De todos modos creo que es cuestión de tiempo que una desarrolladora dé el gran paso y en mi opinión, creo que una de las que más chance tiene es Nintendo, ya que tiene todo, cuenta con grandes franquicias y muchos recursos para tener éxito en este proceso.
In conclusion, there is potential to create NFT games with major franchises but we are still in the FUD stage both with cryptocurrencies and NFTs. Anyway, I believe it's a matter of time before a developer takes the big step and in my opinion, one of the most likely ones is Nintendo, since it has everything, it has major franchises and many resources to succeed in this process.

Yo tengo menos de una semana creo tener ya casi 300-400 pokemones, tu colección es extraordinaria, y pues con el tema monetario eso es algo que se ve muy a menudo, es seguro que de alguna forma van a sacar dinero por eso debemos coleccionarlo incluso yo estoy por comprar los físicos, solo falta que de alguna forma se integre al sistema NFT y bum!
Esa colección ha sido a mera suerte ya que puro F2P es lo que he jugado, tengo varios ex rare pero no los mostré porque no tienen ese arte bonito xD, pero tienes razón muy pronto los usuarios conseguirán cómo generar dentro del juego así estén las prohibiciones, pero si sacarán un juego NFT uuuffff.
Este juego definitivamente es un clásico y gran referente 💜una prueba de que para que algo sea bueno no necesita ser supercomplejo 🔥 sino todo lo contrario :3
