I just figured that indie developers were more likely to develop pixel games because they were easier, and since there are so many indie devs now, all trying their hand at creating games, there were so much more pixel games available. 😅 The nostalgia factor is just a bonus.
I happily play both pixel games and ones with super realistic graphics, and either way, it's the gameplay that decides if I like the game or not. 🙂
