Wow, you did a better job with your very first experience in Kenshi than I did!! 😅
If I recall correctly -- I made my person, started the game just outside of a city, went inside and talked to a couple of people, couldn't really work out what to do, went outside of the city and got murdered by a group of people. 🤣
I feel like it could've been one of those perfect open world do-what-you-want games, and I know a lot of people absolutely loved it, but for me, I feel like I need to watch four days of a tutorial first.
To be honest without the tutorials I wouldn't of been able to learn how to play it, but, to be fair even with them it's hard to figure it out. It really is a special game in my opinion but I know a bunch of friends who love the idea of it from what I've told them about the game but, they've all said they don't want to play it because it seems way too hard.
There is some really cool lore in the game aswell and I'm a huge fan of dystopian post-apocalyptic worlds, I just find it so interesting. Also when I discover the base building aspect I was hooked and that became my main play style, I love city building type games. Also in Kenshi it's good to have a place to hide/ earn money. I usually leave all my companions there working while my main explorer character goes out on adventures. Most of them don't end well haha thanks for the comment!
