Is the License node situation finally awake again?

It has been a long time ago since I had purchased a Validator node License on Splinterlands without having the full idea of what it would be doing. Yeah it produced vouchers on the daily and also gave me SPS but what would actually happen with it was still a mystery.

Looking back at when I had bought this License I had to go back a long while. The search function within HIVE is not really what I had hoped for, but looking through google I found that I had posted something about this on another platform in november 2022 and that the total costs of this were $1493 or in that time 3178 liquid HIVE.

Ouch!!! That hurts to see it like this when you look at the current price. Luckily this all came from blogging rewards and gaming rewards at that time and not a single fiat dollar was invested into it.

Sure there were also SPS rewards and voucher rewards coming from this over 2.5 years of time, but this didn't cover the purchase costs of this at all. And also in all of that time, it still wasn't clear when and how these validators would be running. So price of these went down and down as well as the bear market entered, but now there seems to be movement again!

I have been following the price of these licenses over the last two weeks with a bit more interest since all of a sudden de full nodes are live and people are actually using them and setting them up.

You can see it in the price as they are being swapped between people for way more HIVE at the moment than that was long the case. Movement!!

The top chart here was from earlier in the week, this chart below is already to be seen that there are hardly any sell orders anymore and the price has gone seriously up. Yummie!

Setting up a node myself?

Now the chances of setting up a node myself will be closer to zero than ever since I have zero skills and zero incentive for this. So I turned my way to @peakmonsters for using their service on delegating my license towards there, which will eventually give some returns as well. You can do this at https://peakmonsters.com/@your-user-name/licenses and it was actully very simply to do.

Runt through all of these steps and using the posting key to get the action going with Hive Keychain. This was not difficult at all as my License also had already been activated.

So movement and I have the feeling that there is a more positive sentiment around the game lately. Heck I have been even buying packs and playing games again, aint that something.

But for me...the License was an investment. Looking at the current prices of SPS which it gave me on the daily I am taking that this was around 900 days of farming of 20 SPS per day x the current price of 0.03 HIVE per SPS is about 600 HIVE made in total by the License. In combo with the current price of the License and what it had brought up, I am still down bad on that one. But it is rising....

So we will see! The service of delegating the node is on peakmonsters will be free or the next month so I will check to see if that will be worth it in the end to keep doing this.

Update on the License delegation. I am not seeing any SPS appearing in my wallet through @peakmonsters . Have I done anything wrong? Any suggestions?
