¡Hola comunidad de Hive Gaming! saludos cordiales un gusto volver a compartir con ustedes por esta plataforma, hace un rato que no subo de mis gameplays que suelo hacer en mis ratos libres así que decidí volver con un titulo que fue de mis favoritos de mi infancia y que ocupa un lugar especial en mi corazón: Sonic Adventure 2. En esta ocasión, estaré jugando la versión para GameCube. Este juego es muy especial para mí, ya que fue uno de los primeros que experimenté en mi vida, cuando apenas tenía 4 años. Recuerdo que lo jugué en la consola Dreamcast que me regaló mi tío. Por lo tanto, quería revivir esos momentos nostálgicos y disfrutar de un rato de diversión. Además, aprovechando el reciente estreno de la película "Sonic 3", que fue excelente y rindió homenaje a Sonic Adventure 2, pensé que era el momento perfecto para hacerlo. Sin más preámbulo, les haré un breve resumen sobre la historia del juego y su jugabilidad. ¡Espero que lo disfruten!
Hello Hive Gaming community! cordial greetings a pleasure to share with you again on this platform, it's been a while since I uploaded my gameplays that I usually do in my spare time so I decided to return with a title that was one of my childhood favorites and holds a special place in my heart: Sonic Adventure 2. This time, I will be playing the GameCube version. This game is very special to me, as it was one of the first games I experienced in my life, when I was only 4 years old. I remember playing it on the Dreamcast console that my uncle gave me. Therefore, I wanted to relive those nostalgic moments and enjoy a fun time. Also, taking advantage of the recent release of the movie “Sonic 3”, which was excellent and paid tribute to Sonic Adventure 2, I thought it was the perfect time to do it. Without further ado, I'll give you a brief summary of the game's story and gameplay, I hope you enjoy it!
Este juego de aventura en tercera persona nos permite comenzar el modo historia eligiendo entre dos equipos de personajes distintos. Por un lado, tenemos al equipo "Héroe", que está formado por Sonic y sus dos mejores amigos, Tails y Knuckles. Por otro lado, está el equipo "Dark", que incluye a Shadow, el Dr. Eggman y la ladrona de joyas Rouge. Decidí empezar con el equipo "Héroe", no solo porque es mi favorito del juego, sino también porque me pareció una excelente manera de iniciar la aventura.
This third-person adventure game allows us to start the story mode by choosing between two different teams of characters. On the one hand, we have the “Hero” team, which consists of Sonic and his two best friends, Tails and Knuckles. On the other hand, there is the “Dark” team, which includes Shadow, Dr. Eggman and the jewel thief Rouge. I decided to start with the “Hero” team, not only because it's my favorite of the game, but also because it seemed like a great way to start the adventure.
Al iniciar el juego, nos encontramos con Sonic, quien está huyendo de un helicóptero de las fuerzas militares conocidas como "GUN". Aunque en este momento desconocemos las razones de su captura, pronto desvelaremos el misterio. El primer nivel, titulado "City Escape", ocupa un lugar muy especial en mi corazón y en mis recuerdos. Cuando tenía apenas 4 años y aún no dominaba del todo el juego, solía quedarme en este nivel, disfrutando de su maravillosa banda sonora mientras recorría y exploraba cada rincón.
At the start of the game, we meet Sonic, who is fleeing from a helicopter of the military forces known as “GUN”. Although at this point we don't know the reasons for his capture, we will soon unravel the mystery. The first level, titled “City Escape”, holds a very special place in my heart and in my memories. When I was just 4 years old and not yet fully mastered the game, I used to linger on this level, enjoying its wonderful soundtrack as I wandered and explored every nook and cranny.
Este juego presenta por primera vez a Shadow, el erizo, un personaje que rápidamente se convertiría en el favorito de muchos fans gracias a su distintiva personalidad. En su primer encuentro, Sonic se sorprende al notar cuán similar es a Shadow, casi como si fueran gemelos. Esta semejanza lleva al ejército a confundir a Sonic con Shadow, donde lo acusan de haber hecho desastre por la ciudad y hasta haberse robado un banco, lo que resulta en que Sonic sea capturado. Shadow, por su parte, elude a Sonic y se escapa, dejando a Sonic en una situación complicada, ya que es emboscado nuevamente por el ejército. Debo destacar que siempre me ha fascinado la rivalidad entre Sonic y Shadow; sin embargo, lamento que esta dinámica no se haya explorado en muchos juegos. Sonic Adventure 2 es, sin duda, el título que le dio mayor importancia a esta intensa rivalidad.
This game first introduces Shadow, the hedgehog, a character that would quickly become a favorite of many fans thanks to his distinctive personality. Upon their first encounter, Sonic is surprised to notice how similar he is to Shadow, almost as if they were twins. This resemblance leads the army to mistake Sonic for Shadow, where they accuse him of making a mess of the city and even robbing a bank, which results in Sonic being captured. Shadow, for his part, eludes Sonic and escapes, leaving Sonic in a complicated situation, as he is ambushed again by the army. I should note that I have always been fascinated by the rivalry between Sonic and Shadow; however, I regret that this dynamic has not been explored in many games. Sonic Adventure 2 is, without a doubt, the title that gave the most importance to this intense rivalry.
En otra parte de la historia, nos encontramos con Knuckles el Echidna, el protector y guardián de la Esmeralda Maestra. Este personaje mantiene una intensa rivalidad con Rouge, quien tiene la intención de robar y apoderarse de la poderosa gema. Sin embargo, la situación se complica cuando el Dr. Eggman aparece en escena, decidiendo llevarse la esmeralda consigo. En un intento por evitar el robo, Knuckles destruye la Esmeralda Maestra, reduciéndola a pedazos.
A partir de este momento, nuestra misión con Knuckles es encontrar, a lo largo de cada nivel, las distintas partes de la esmeralda para poder restaurarla por completo. Los niveles de Knuckles son especialmente atractivos, ya que se centran en la aventura y la búsqueda de las piezas de la gema. Durante estas misiones, contamos con la ayuda de un radar que nos indica si estamos cerca o lejos de alguna de las partes. Además, no puedo dejar de mencionar que la banda sonora de los niveles de Knuckles simplemente es de mis favoritas de todo el juego. Combina hip hop y rap al estilo característico de principios de los 2000, época en donde salió este titulo.
In another part of the story, we meet Knuckles the Echidna, the protector and guardian of the Master Emerald. This character maintains an intense rivalry with Rouge, who intends to steal and seize the powerful gem. However, the situation becomes complicated when Dr. Eggman appears on the scene, deciding to take the emerald with him. In an attempt to prevent the theft, Knuckles destroys the Master Emerald, reducing it to pieces.
From this moment on, our mission with Knuckles is to find, throughout each level, the different parts of the emerald in order to restore it completely. Knuckles' levels are especially attractive, as they focus on the adventure and the search for the pieces of the gem. During these missions, we have the help of a radar that tells us if we are near or far from any of the parts. Also, I can't fail to mention that the soundtrack for Knuckles' levels is simply one of my favorites of the entire game. It combines hip hop and rap in the characteristic style of the early 2000s, the time when this title came out.
Por último, encontramos los niveles de Tails, que están más centrados en un estilo de acción y aventura. En este juego, Tails mantiene una rivalidad con el clásico villano de la saga, el Doctor Eggman. En los primeros niveles, su objetivo principal es rescatar a Sonic, quien se encuentra atrapado a manos del ejército de GUN, y descubrir los oscuros planes de Eggman. Los niveles de Tails se caracterizan por su enfoque en la acción, presentando un estilo de disparos en tercera persona, además de incluir elementos de plataformas. Aunque no son mis niveles favoritos, sin duda son entretenidos.
Finally, we find the Tails levels, which are more focused on an action and adventure style. In this game, Tails maintains a rivalry with the classic villain of the saga, Doctor Eggman. In the first levels, his main objective is to rescue Sonic, who is trapped at the hands of GUN's army, and to discover Eggman's dark plans. Tails' levels are characterized by their focus on action, featuring a third-person shooter style, as well as including platforming elements. While not my favorite levels, they are certainly entertaining.
Así, nuestro valiente y atrevido equipo de héroes, compuesto por Sonic, Tails y Knuckles, se unen para salvar el planeta Tierra de los malévolos planes del Doctor Eggman. se descubre mas adelante que este villano ha construido una poderosa base espacial llamada "ARK", desde la cual lanza un devastador rayo láser que destruye parte de la Luna. Con este acto, busca demostrar al mundo el inmenso poder que posee y someter a la humanidad a su voluntad. Nuestros héroes deben actuar rápidamente para frustrar sus planes y proteger la tierra.
