Back in 1994, visitors of the Consumer Electronic Show were able to see for the first time a presentation of an unfinished Sega Mega Drive video game that adapted the famous anime film Akira. Unfortunately, further development of this game has been stopped and all traces of it were lost.
A prototype of the Akira game for Sega Mega Drive was recently found, which led to a sharp increase in interests in this interesting project. In the premiere video, the YouTube channel Hidden Palace presented the state of the game that was found, with all the several genres of gameplay that this interesting project offers - motor racing, side scrolling platforming and fighting, and even first-person research. For such an old and unfinished game, Akira has surprisingly well-realized levels, gameplay systems and animation. Unfortunately, all levels present are unfinished and the game still has a wide range of bugs in it.
